Announcement bar in case there's no manga?

Usually I don't make any suggestions for this site, because I don't see anything wrong with it.
But after seeing seven to eight threads popping up today because there is no manga, asking why there isn't any (and because apparently the search bar and the sticky threads are some kind of mystical tools because they get barely used by the thread makers) I was wondering if there was a way to place some sort of announcement on the homepage with the comment that there's no chapter today?
I think I remember something similar being placed on the homepage when there wasn't any manga during Golden week (correct me if I'm wrong) so is it possible to do this again? Before there are made a hundred threads about the same thing.
It's just a suggestion of course; I'm a computer noob so I don't know how much time there goes in placing something like that.
So is this possible or wouldn't it have any effect?

Maybe putting in the bar that Shonen jump is on a break (like the reason of Golden week)

This really needs to happen. They've done it once before when there was no manga/anime. It was at the top of the homepage in bright letters.
