Byakugan, as we know, allows the user to see chakra flow inside a person's body.
Next, i will point out why Byakugan on a particular battle, did not function as it should be.
Read below:
During Nagato's invasion of Konoha, he utilised the chakra signals to control 6 different dead bodies to fight on his behalf. During the battle, some bloodline shinobi(s) with Byakugan (most notably Hinata) activate their eyes but amazingly missed out on spotting the chakra signal that is travelling as signals waves.
Had they spotted it, they could have an easier fight. Shame on Hinata, probably she is focusing on looking at Naruto's private area... <3
