The title says it all.

I must admit, I struggled with the Title for this thread. There are SO MANY THEORIES that I can pull from this one thread itself, but I will focus only on the main point of this thread. I will save more important theories that relate to this thread for a later date.

So to be more specific, both of Konoha’s Symbols originate from the symbolism of the Uzumaki Clan—from their fuinjutsu (sealing techniques). Everyone knows that the shinobi from Uzushiogakure in the Land of Whirlpools were specialists in the art of fūinjutsu, to the point that their nation was eventually destroyed due to the fear others had of these techniques. Everyone also knows that Kushina told Naruto that “one” of the symbols worn by Konoha shinobi come from the Uzumaki Clan, but I’m going to prove that BOTH symbols originate with the Uzumaki Clan. There are only 2 different non-clan specific symbols of the Village worn by all Konoha Shinobi— 1) the logo on the forehead protector, and 2) the logo on the clothing (Flak Jacket and Uniform). I will prove (with manga evidence) that these two symbols both originated from the Uzumaki Clan’s Fuinjutsu (sealing technique).

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE THREAD BEFORE YOU COMMENT ON MY THEORY.
The information provided includes manga references to illustrate ALL of my points. If you don’t want to read, please SKIP TO SUMMARY. I guarantee you’ll want to backtrack to see my manga evidence, though.

1. Konoha’s Hidden Leaf Village symbol (on the forehead protector) is a replica the actual DOOR or GATEWAY of the Uzumaki sealing technique itself (as seen on Bijuu Mode Naruto’s chest).
Take a careful look at the seal on the CHEST of Bijuu Mode Naruto

If you notice carefully, you will see the Konoha symbol embedded inside the “Door” of the Uzumaki Fuinjutsu on Naruto’s chest. This fact is illustrated by the (3) points below:

1) The straight line on top of the Konoha Logo matches the straight line above the “door” of the fuinjutsu seal on Naruto’s chest (the “skeleton” of Bijuu Mode)

2) The Uzumaki “whirlpool” Logo on the Konoha Symbol matches the spirl circle of the center of the “door” of the fuinjutsu seal on Naruto’s chest.

3) The bottom “Fang” portion of the Konoha Symbol matches the “Fang” portion below the Uzumaki Symbol on the fuinjutsu seal on Naruto’s chest.

Special Note: The Symbol worn on the clothing (Flak Jacket shoulder) of Naruto’s outfit is slightly different than the design on all other Konoha shinobi’s clothing. It has two “scroll-like” bars on both sides of the Uzumaki Sign. This is also seen on the “door” of the fuinjutsu seal, two scroll-like bars that are a part of the “skeleton” of the bijuu mode. See link above for pic.

2. The Uzumaki Clan symbol represents the actual DOOR or GATEWAY of their sealing technique itself (fuinjutsu).
Narutopedia, on the “Uzumaki Clan” symbolism

The surname "Uzumaki" is a pun on "spiral" (渦巻), because it refers to a three-dimensional spiral, like a whirlpool or vortex. "Uzumaki" can also mean "whirlpool".
*************************

Naruto unlocking the sealing door of Karuma through the Uzumaki sign on his stomach

Take a GOOD LOOK at the door of the Jinchurriki seal on the 9 Tails Fox. It is literally a spiral lock door surrounded by a cross of 4 dots. This is the exact replica of the original Uzumaki Clan symbol that we saw earlier (also see below).

3. The Uzumaki Symbols worn on the clothing of Konoha Shinobi are in the same spots on the body as the Uzumaki Symbols on the fuinjutsu seal for the 9 Tails Jinchurriki (i.e. bijuu mode).
Uzumaki sign on both shoulders and back of Bijuu Mode Naruto

Uzumaki sign on both shoulders and back of Konoha Clothing (Ikura and fodder ninja lol)

Uzumaki sign on both bijuu mode Naruto AND Gai/Kakashi’s clothing

Note: Once Konoha incorporated the Uzumaki Clan sign on their clothing, they strategically placed the Uzumaki symbol in all the same spots on the body as located on a Jinchurriki with 9 tail chakra (bijuu mode). The Uzumaki Clan are the only known shinobi to have been the Jinchurriki of Karuma, other than the Sage of Six Paths himself.

4a. The logo worn on Konoha Shinobi’s clothing (not forehead protector) is the Uzumaki Clan symbol
Konoha Clothing Logo Originated from the Uzumaki Clan Symbol

{Kushina speaking} “Naruto, the mark on your back is the symbol of the hidden eddy village…. Konoha uses it as a symbol of friendship and goodwill.”

This proves that the sign worn on the Body (Arms, chest and back) is directly from the Uzumaki Clan, NOT from the Land of Fire, Senju or Uchiha Clan. The manga page above illustrates the distant blood relationship between the Uzumaki and Senju Clans.

Note: This bond is later solidified with the marriage between Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki.

4b. The logo worn on Konoha Shinobi’s forehead protector (not on clothing) originated from the Senju/Uchiha Treaty (it was not created as the “Land of Fire” symbol)
Symbol of Senju/Uchiha peace treaty existed before their Pack with the Fire Country (Konoha)

Soon AFTER our ninja alliance (Uchiha/Senju treaty) made a Pact with the Land of Fire…”

This proves that the symbol used for Konoha was not originally created to represent the “Land of Fire” because this symbol originated before the two Clans treaty made a Pact with Konoha. This symbol was originally created by the Senju and Uchiha without the Land of Fire in mind.
Ask yourself… why would the symbol for the Joint Treaty between Senju and Uchiha be completely different than the symbols of these two clans…?

4c. Both of Konoha’s symbols (i.e. On the forehead protector & Clothing) differs completely from the 2 Founding Clans’ Symbols (Senju and Uchiha Clan) AND the Land of Fire Symbol.
Senju Clan Symbol

Senju Clan, before establishing Konoha (wore Senju Symbol only)

The Senju Clan and Uchiha Clan symbols (during the time before their Alliance is created)

The symbols for the 5 Great Lands, worn by the 5 Kage (Note Fire Land Symbol)

The Land of Fire symbol, shown worn by Hashirama Senju

The Land of Fire symbol, shown worn by the Fire Daimyo

These links were added to prove that the symbol used for Konoha is obviously different than the Senju and Uchiha Clan’s symbol AND the Land of Fire symbol itself. Ask yourself… why would the symbol for Konoha be different than the symbols of the two establishing clans AND the establishing country…?

Note: The symbol that currently represents the hidden village of Konoha was created before there ever was a hidden village pact for the Land of Fire.

5a. Karuma Illudes to the fact that his chakra has been “stolen” before by a Jinchurriki.
Karuma knows that Naruto is trying to steal his chakra without Naruto telling him

Karuma says that Naruto is finally trying to take control of His powers, (without Naruto telling him his plans) hinting this has happened before.

Note: The previous Jinchurriki for the 9 Tails was Uzumaki Mito. This strongly suggests that Mito originally fought Karuma for it’s chakra as a Jinchurriki, same as Naruto. All previous 9 Tail Jinchurriki have been from the Uzumaki Clan. If previous Uzumaki jinchurriki have had Karuma’s chakra, this could mean Konoha’s Hidden Village symbol originates from a previous Uzumaki Jinchurriki...

5b. Uzumaki Mito was also able to sense “negative emotions”. This illustrates the fact that she also took 9 tails chakra from Karuma as a Jinchurriki.
Karuma sensing No Evil Chakra in Naruto

The power to sense negative emotions is the Power of Karuma’s Chakra. In the manga above, Karuma notes that Naruto no longer has hate inside of himself.

Naruto sensing evil emotions

The power to sense negative emotions only came to Naruto AFTER he defeated Karuma and stole his chakra. No time before this is Naruto able to sense negative emotions. Additionally, he HAS to be in Bijuu Mode to sense the negative emotions.

Note: This alludes to the fact that Uzumaki Mito must have taken some of the 9 Tails chakra in this fashion, since she was also able to sense negative emotions. She must have also had the ability to go “Bijuu Mode” to be able to sense negative emotions. Just being a Jinchurriki of the 9 Tails does NOT automatically give you the power to sense negative emotions, or Naruto would have had the ability to sense negative emotions from birth.

SUMMARY:
IF YOU WISH TO ARGUE ANY THEORY BELOW, PLEASE USE MANGA EVIDENCE

1. The symbol for the Hidden Leaf Village is an exact replica of the “Door” of the 9 Tails Jinchurriki Seal, as seen on Naruto’s Bijuu Mode. The straight line on the tip matches the “skeleton’s” line, the Spiral is the circle, and the bottom “fang” portion is the black “fang” portion on the bottom of the door of the seal. Look closely at BM Naruto, his forehead protector and the door of the seal on his chest are exactly the same!
2. The Spiral of the Uzumaki Clan comes directly from the spiral of the Fuinjutsu their clan specializes in mastering. This spiral, located on the clothing (Flak Jacket and Uniform) is the same spiral located on the center of Konoha’s symbol.

3. The location of Spirals on the “body” of the Uzumaki Fuinjutsu (i.e. BM Naruto) are in the exact same location as the logos on Konoha’s clothing {1) left shoulder 2) right shoulder of uniform and 3) Back of Flak Jacket}.

Supporting evidence
4a. The logo on Konoha’s clothing (flak jacket and uniform) is from the Uzumaki Clan. This is said by Kushina directly.

4b. The design of Konoha’s symbol (forehead protector) originated from the Treaty of Uchiha/Senju, NOT THE FIRE COUNTRY. The treaty occurred before there ever was a thought to become a hidden village and protect a country. So the logo created by the Uchiha/Senju did NOT have the Fire Country in mind.

4c. From a design standpoint, the actual design of Konoha’s symbol is completely different from the founding clans’ symbols (Uchiha/Senju) AND completely different from the symbol of the Fire Country.

5a. When Naruto prepares to fight Karuma for its chakra, Karuma comments on this fact before Naruto ever says it to him. KARUMA KNEW HE WAS TRYING TO STEAL HIS CHAKRA. This shows that it isn’t the first time someone has tried to take chakra from Karuma.

5b. Mito was also able to sense negative chakra. This illudes to the fact that she also must have taken chakra from the 9 Tails fox. Just being its jinchurriki didn’t automatically give Naruto the power to sense negative emotions, he had to take some of its chakra first. This symbol would have been shown on “BM Mito” and any other Uzumaki in history that was able to accomplish this feat. I’m assuming Mito played a bigger role in the Madara fight than Kishi is currently telling us…

Special Note: This thread was created behind the assumption that I believe the younger son of the Sage of Six Paths was from Uzumaki descent… Either the Sage was Uzumaki or he married into the Uzumaki bloodline. But this is a thread for another day, please don’t comment/argue this theory :)

sorry but this fail

First of All... the symbol of Konoha is NOT that of a leaf. If anything, it was to represent "fire", but definetally not a leaf. What part of a leaf is the spiral in the middle of the symbol? Are you telling me the symbol of the Uchiha/Senju Treaty was A FREAKIN' LEAF (representing the Senju Clan of Forest ONLY) and the Uchiha had no opposition to this ?!?

Second of All... this "symbol" was created BEFORE THE EXISTANCE OF A HIDDEN VILLAGE. So don't say they used this symbol in order to represent the "NAME" Konoha because THERE WAS NO "KONOHA" IN EXISTANCE BEFORE THE SENJU/UCHIHA TREATY.

lets who is the fail by others opinions and there weren't any info about uzumaki clan in the beginning and in the middle of a normal leaf there is plenty of lines just like a nerve cell so would kishi draw 999999 line in 999999+ konoha shinobi or draw that simple spiral shape

its supposed to look like a leaf u idiot

Damn I'm an idiot. But you have not answered my question, or read my thread either apparently.

Why in the world would the PRIDEFUL UCHIHA CLAN agree to have a symbol of a LEAF (which would be totally one-sided by the Senju, FYI) as the symbol of their JOINT TREATY??? This makes NO SENSE.

And FYI there was NO HIDDEN "LEAF" VILLAGE when the treaty between the Senju and Uchiha was created. There was also no Pact with the Fire country either. And they came up with this symbol to represent the joint treaty of their two clans. And you want me to believe that this symbol created to represent these two clans is ONLY A LEAF. GTFO
