The Sage looked Naruto in the eyes intently, and began to speak.
Sage: 'Naruto, there's something I must tell you before you go, about that.. masked man.'
Naruto suddenly remembered him, he almost forgot about it. Tobi was almost torn apart by Naruto, but something happened right before Naruto was about to deliver the final blow. He didn't know what it was, but it was almost as if he heard the voice of someone else, a voice he didn't recognize. And before he knew it Tobi had disappeared, along with the Gedo Mazo.
Sage: 'That masked man.. i'm not sure who he is, but i'll tell you my story..'
~ The scene shifts over back in time, in a large courtyard surrounded by large marble pillars with strange rune sketches written all over them. The courtyard itself was concrete, rugged ground. And in the middle was the Sage and his two sons, Ichiro ( Ich - Ir - o, meaning "first son" ) and Kenji ( Ken - Jee, meaning "second son." )
The Sage was sitting down on a long white sheet, while the two sons sparred in Taijutsu. Kenji had light brown hair, and was just an inch smaller then his older brother, Ichiro, who had dark black hair and was atleast abit more built then his younger brother.
Ichiro: 'Just give up brother, i'm older so i'm stronger!' Ichiro said with a cocky tone, while still parrying and attacking his younger brother. This didn't phase Kenji at all, who seemed to be focused on his battle.
Ichiro: 'Hmmph! The silent treatment? Well take this!'
Ichiro swung his fist straight toward Kenji, who swayed his head to the right, and all in one move, grabbed his brother's hand and hurled him backwards, sending him into a backwards spiral. Ichiro smacked the ground, landing on his back.
Sage: 'Alright stop you two, thats enough.'
The Sage sighed while Ichiro moaned in pain.
Kenji: 'Are you alright brother?' He said as he held out his hand, a smile on his face.
Ichiro stubbonly smacked his brothers hand away.
Ichiro: 'Why are you so much stronger then me! I'll never be as strong as you.. No matter how hard I try, or boast.. I can't even beat my younger brother!'
The Sage overheard, and walked over.
Sage: 'Ichiro, you have a great strength in you, one that may yet surpass even mine. But your stubbornness will only lead to your downfall. You must accept your strength, and continue on with your resolve. Don't let these emotions get the better of you, otherwise you will never get any stronger.'
Ichiro looked down, taking in his fathers words..
Kenji: 'Yes, listen to father! His the Great Sage after all!'
The sound of his younger brother's voice only angered Ichiro, he couldn't accept him as his superior. Being an older brother ment he had to be stronger, and be there to protect his younger brother. He got up and ran off into the distance.
The Sage watched him, with a sad look in his eyes.
Kenji: 'Father, why is brother angry at me?'
The Sage looked down to Kenji.
Sage: 'His not angry at you, his just angry at himself.. Anyway, we must return home. And don't go sneaking off into the forbidden altar again. I know what you and your brother are like.'
- - - As Night Falls.. - - -
The Sage was meditating atop a high balcony, which potruded out of a beautiful temple of gold and white.
But something was not right.. The Sage could sense something wrong in the atmosphere. The wind was howling and seemed to have changed direction quite fast. Leaves blew from trees and filled the air. Birds flew in the same direction as the current.. As if they were flying away from something.. It seemed to be coming from the exact location of the Forbidden Altar. The Sage stood up, looking out onto the horizen.. What was happening?
And suddenly almost out of nowhere, a huge explosion took out half the temple, sending the sage flying outwards into the courtyard. He landed with his feet sliding almost halfway across the conrete landscape, looking up to see a huge summoning, a purple beast made out of wood, letting out an ear piercing roar across the entire valley that surrounded the temple.
The Sage looked up in horror towards this monstrosity, and noticed a black figure standing atop its head.
Sage: 'What.. what is that!?'
Hundreds of woman, men and children were fleeing the temple, running in the opposite direction of this monster. The Sage flew up towards the temple, using the powers of the Rinnegan launch him from the ground.
Sage: 'KENJI! Where are you!'
Kenji appeared out of the temple, running desperately towards his dad.
Kenji: 'Father! What's happening!'
The Sage looked into his sons eyes, he didn't know, but he knew whatever was happening, it wasn't some simple assault on the temple.
Sage: 'Kenji, where is your brother!?'
Kenji: 'I don't know, he didn't come home tonight, mum went out looking for him and she hasn't come back either!'
The Sage feared the worst, but he knew it wasn't any use grieving right now, he had to focus on saving his home.
Sage: 'Kenji, i wan't you to get out of here, run to the sides of the valley and take as many people with you as you can!' The Sage commanded, but Kenji wouldn't listen.
Kenji: 'But father, i'm not leaving you here!'
His son cried
Sage: 'I said GO! NOW! Your life is more important to me then anything in this world, if you died because I couldn't protect you I would never forgive myself, now GO!'
After the Sage made sure his son run off into the edge of the valley, he jumped atop the temple to see the beast on the other side of the courtyard. And atop the beast, was none other then the masked man.
Masked Man: 'It's an honour, Sage of Six Paths.. Now would you kindly hand over the nine beasts that you have created out of my pet, the Ten-Tails?'
The Sage was shocked, how could he know about the nine beasts he created, when he kept the truth from everyone, knowing that if they knew the beast still lived they would despair. And what did he want with them anyway?
He didn't want to find out.
The Sage raised his hand, letting out a brilliant flash of light. Which evaporated into a long, slim staff with a ring pattern at the top. Feathers hung off it, blowing in the direction of the wind.
The Sage looked towards the masked man, his eyes fixed on him in a deafening glare..
Sage: I don't know who you are.. The Sage begun to speak..
Sage: And I don't really care.. but how DARE you trample on the dreams of my family and my home! As the Sage of Six Paths, I WILL STOP YOU HERE!

I hope you enjoyed chapter 3! I defiantly enjoyed writing it
