[Discussion] Mount Myōboku Connection To Rikudo Sennin.

Mount Myōboku Toads.



I found one thing very interesting.


It says , that Fukasaku and Shima are over 800 years old.



They are 8 times more older than the village of Konoha.


That means , that Mount Myōboku and Ryūchi Cave and Shikkotsu Forest are the oldest known areas of the Manga.


Also Great Toad Sage is the oldest inhabitant of the area meaning , that he's older than Fukasaku and Shima = judging by hes looks he seems to be extremely old.



I feel , that there is a connection between these hidden places and Rikudo Sennin.


I have a strong feeling , that the toads,snakes,snails where influenced by Rikudo Sennin.


Rikudo Sennin was the prodigy who discovered , created , exploited the Ninjutsu.

I think , that Rikudo Sennin had 3 followers on hes journeys to teach the ninjutsu to people , since he travelled as a monk around the world.

One of the followers was a snake.

One was a toad.

One was a snail.


When the Journey was over , the Sage gave each of the diciples a necklace with hidden powers to help them in the future.


Also the Sage gave the animals some clues and instructions to help the humans and the bjuus if needed.

Also to teach senjutsu to the chosen ones.



Any opinions on that?

It would be Logical , since Kishi has used alot of Toad , Snake , Snail symbolism and combinations through out the series both in Manga and Anime.


Tsunade , Jiraiya , Orochimaru are fine examples.

Also Humid Bone forest would be a beneficial place for snails , since snails like humidity , they die at dry places.


But we cant be sure now , we have to wait when Kishi Explains it.

I like this theory and i feel like it's very possible, but I'm gonna go off a little from your theory and say that the toad snake and snail were the ones that influenced the sage, and that they were the sort of beginning of ninjutsu. It's sort of like avatar the last airbender. You have these natural animal masters of the elements, the fish, the dragon the bison and the badgermole and the humans watched them and learned from them. I think this is similar to what happened in naruto, and after the sage mastered everything, the toad snail and snake started following him like you said.

doubtful, anything using the word sage in the manga does not automatically mean related to so6p...sage is a term used to deem someone a master of a specific thing. Naruto is a toad sage aka he is a master of the toad sage mode transformation. To OP, cool theory, but unless kishi says otherwise, i doubt it simply because as i said sage does not instantly tie them to the so6p. For all we know, the 3 sage animals could predate the so6p, after all he brought ninjutsu to the people of the world...perhaps as a young traveler he could have just as easily found and vsited the different animal homes and learned from them...since kishi hasnt gone into detail, many speculations can be made on something that happened hundreds or even thousands of years ago in narutoverse.

Snake , Toad and Snail have more meaning in their symbols.


They make the perfect triangle.



Kishi has shown us numerous times , snake , snail and toads in combination.

Why do you keep saying snail? There have been no snails in Naruto that I can remember I think you meant Slug. Even so there has been no evidence that Tsunade has slug sage mode.
