You know I'm not bothered about the lack of deaths, as I don't read the manga because it is realistic, I read it because it is interesting. Lots of fodder died, and that is what happens in war, you barely ever see important people like generals and stuff dying so that is not a problem for me.
I do see someone dying soon though, possibly someone popular and if that happens it will cause an uproar. Kishi cannot win and he is trying his best to make an enjoyable manga, I understand your frustration but just endure, we are getting to the best bit.
The anime is not completely Kishi's fault but he didn't make 'full' enough chapters which has been a problem. The anime could have improved it by adding more fight scenes though. :shrug:
