And oh.. didn't it occur to you that it kind of "misplaced" for someone to disclose their name when in the first place they don't want people to know their identity? He could have said "I am Uchiha Kaenjin" when he was asked a few chapers back instead of answering "I am No One". Or is it coincidence that the jutsu only appeared after he said Uchiha Kaenjin with palms down and the barrier up? And who in the Naruto world wen't out shouting his/her name right before performing a Jutsu?

Oh.. I know who Tobi is. Maybe it's you!!! All the hate, the plan for Infinite Tsukoyomi so that everyone in Narutobase believe your lies. Yep, definitely!

Alright after lurking for a very long time I'm finally going to make my first post/theory .. Don't hate k? This is just my theory just ive been breaking down on tobi..like everyone else XD

First off i just want to point out some things about the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju. Like the First he is directly related to the Sage. Obviously he has all of the knowledge of the past and is a genius. It was stated that he was practicing Space/Time Jutsu, like Tobi/Minato, but he never mastered it the way they did.

In the manga where he died we are introduced to Kagami Uchiha, who i assume was one of his students. As some people have stated he can possibly be Obitos father, but thats more assumptions. However, since he was trained by Tobirama I believe he has some basic understanding behind Space/Time Jutsu, Kagami (Who I believe to be Tobi) named his son in honor of his teacher, and his own Alias after him. He mastered what his master could not and he tried to teach his son some of it, or perhaps Obito saw his father practicing it and that is how he unlocked the ability to use Kamui, to which Kakashi now has. It can also explain why they share the same dimension

Kagami, who again i am assuming is Obitos father,and also directly related to Madara, would want revenge on the leaf for his only sons death, especially on Kakashi for not only letting his son die but also taking the eye of his son with the jutsu he mastered and his son witnessed, thus also possibly being a threat. Not to mention all his quotes of spite directly related to Kakashi it feels like Tobi hates him the most. Rin could possibly have seen what he was plotting and he silenced her as well as being a passive aggresive ******* on Kakkashi by eliminating the person he cared deeply for. He is also in the range to have known Madara and fight Minato, unlike Obito, and would want revenge directly on Minato for also not protecting his son.

Kakashi can use the Kamui because Obito had begin to unlock after witnessing his father practicing it and he had practiced it some.

In short Tobirama started to teach Kagami, who Kagami started to teach to Obito but he was killed and his sharingan was passed to Kakashi, which explains why Kakashi's sharingan can also use the Kamui.

There are some loops holes in this..such as assumptions and since Madara "died" before obito was born I am unsure as to how Kagami and he would have made their plans with Nagato's revival, unless there were more people involved such as Izuna still lurking around..Idk i have a lot of crazy theories

I liked your analysis but I have few questions. Obito got Sharingan when he was in the battle with Kakashi. How come he would have recorded his father's jutsu in his eye without sharingan?

You're right about the font being different.

Just so happens to be the same font used for the words "Rasengan!!" when Naruto attacks Tobi. So, yeah, it's a jutsu.

Tobi does not have obitos other eye that in which will have to be a mangekyou sharnigan by this time.As you can obviously see when ever he does his s/t jutsu the eye is a regular sharnigan....this is why he is not Obito....people these days are highly naive.God....

Their is a high capability that Tobi's s/t jutsu was originally ment to enter and exit the kamui dimension.Now sense Tobi is a genius he figured out he could warp himself in between the dimension and the real world.Perhaps if kakashi had both of obitos eyes he could probably go their with one eye and exit like Tobi,and with the other he can send anything their.Did you guys ever think of that?I guess you forgotten each MS eye has a special power.

now i wonder why it was all in his mind. Was it a password for the jutsu to take effect that he doesn't want anyone to know? Not sure with it as a name but I am leaning towards it as a jutsu. But since this is the world of manga and we are limited by translation (unless you are Japanese), then it could go both ways. But still, I will go with what Naruto Wiki says. It's been a great compilation of everything about Naruto and up until this point it has been accurate.

All arguments that we have now are just pure assumptions. Only Kishi or the translator knows. I'll be dumbfounded if it's a name when Kishi had already spent a lot of time and effort trying to make the identity of Tobi as much of a surprise as he can. It would just be anti-climactic.

PS: Tobi is cool?:sy: Well, that will be another argument that we will be having since it's more of a subjective opinion.

I thought Kakashi could only use Kamui maximum three times? And after using it this many times put himself at risk, ending up in hospital. He has already used it three times or so.

Is he able to use it again? Has he progressed that far since Pain destroyed Konoha that he can use it an umlimited amount of times?

Not great to have a strategy based on a limited Kamui!

Okay so what I am getting from this is the chapter is the following.
1. Tobi's S/t and ghost mode aren't different jutsu's
2. To make himself "ghost" Tobi basically puts his physical body in his other dimension
3. Whilst his body is in the other dimension attack in the real world can't hit him
4. When Kakashi uses Kumai, it transports the object from the real world to Tobi's dimension where his physical body is
5. Tobi's mask cracked because the kunai that was kumai'ed hit Tobi's physical body in the other dimensiom
6. The rasengan hit because it went to the other dimension then hit Tobi's physical body

fair enough however what i don't understand is that kakashi has no control where things go to in the other dimention right?not like he can see the other dimension so if he absorbs something he doesn't alter the path of it direction.meaning the absorb object continues on his path just in the other dimension.what bothers me is when he absorb the kunai of his it was moving towards naruto not tobi so how did it end up hitting tobi and in the face no less.you can't say that whenever he absorts something it'll hit him like a magnet.the second hit with the rasengan i can understand as it was going in that direction where tobi would be in the other dimension
seems like a flaw to me.also is kishi saying tobi is invincible and the only person in the world able to defeat him is kakashi??

Tobi is sending himself to the other dimension, but it just so happens thats where kakashi sends things as well. He gets hit by those projectiles when he sends himself there to avoid contact. Nice to see him use a jutsu for once...

Do you guys remember Konan?

She almost caught him!!! Remember when he tried to absorb her and he noticed halfway through the absorbing, that they were paper bombs. He almost died. How? He sends things to another dimension. When he is avoiding contact, he sends his body to the other dimension also. So when he absorbed half of those paper bombs, and tried to make himself hollow- he got caught in it when he sent his body to the other dimension along with the paper bombs.

about the bolded part, why wouldn't he, is it written anywhere that he shouldn't?
Why would Kishi reveal the viewers his name when Tobi is still shrouded in mystery?

First,great chapter I give it a 5/5 for Kishi showing us again that :kakashi: is a great tactician.

This makes perfect sense now. All the similarity of tobi to obito.

Tobi uses the eye power of their bloodline, i.e Kamui. The main power of the kamui is to transport an object to a different dimension. From the looks of it tobi somehow managed to evolve kamui to a whole new level. Not to mention he have tons of time to master his own eye technic. Plus the obito's eye's where not perfectly fit. Becos he used drop medicines for in his eye and wore glasses for protection. When he is about to get attacked he transport himself to that dimension but some how his movements can be observed from this dimension.When the attack is finished he transport himself back.(Cool technic right. it is very hard to figure out.) It was by sheer coincidence that kakashi was able to figure it out. The dimension kakashi uses for kamui's transportation is the same as tobi. That is why the rasengan and the flying kunai where able to hit him. Both the kunai and rasengan where in that dimension when they made contact to tobi. From this we can conclude that tobi has the same ocular power of obito.

Why Tobi is obito's father.

Mainly i have four reasons.

1. Tobi have the same eye powers of obito.
2. Tobi attacked konoha because of his revenge. Tobi believe that Konoha was the reason behind the death of his son. And wanted to annihilate konoha for what they did to his precious little son.
3. Tobi knows gai and kakashi.
4. Fitting him as tobi is perfectly matched with all the time theories(like why is he old,why he know madara etc.).


And a wild guess- TOBI IS SON OF MADARA.
SO MADARA>TOBI>OBITO.

The things kakashi send will be going in opposite direction from what it is travelling in real world, that's why it hit his mask first time and the rassengan was disappeared at his left hand side and it hit his right hand. please give me +rep

lol sorry not even close thats the biggest assumption ever.you're proving yourself wrong the kunai went to naruto you're saying then it goes to the opposite direction meaning towards tobi but the rasengan continue on it's path towards tobi as you can clearly see and it hit him on the shoulder.by your arguement the rasegan should have then changed its direction meaning back to naruto or guy that is what opposite means buddy.

i think i'm one of the few on here who wasnt impressed with this chapter. i mean, i thought it was pretty much common knowlege that he was using "one jutsu" rather than several. i did like how they got his arm with the rasengan >

exactly finally someone understands.everyone is boasting how they understand the jutsu but no one seems to understand that kakashi can't just suck up random attacks and then it'll hit tobi.it'll have to be executed perfectly also the attacks must already be aimed at tobi.the trick is to pressure him so that he's forced to stay solid and then attack.
