We haven't seen much from Madara, 'cuz he's too arrogant to show all his powers, but that doesn't mean Itachi's genjutsu > Madara.

Well based off of what we have seen Itachi is one of the best Genjutsu users in the series. The only genjutsu we have really seen Madara use was the one that controlled Kyuubi. So right now Itachi> Madara.

Madara don't use much genjutsu.....but that doesn't mean he doesn't/can't perform genjutsu

We don t know for sure but madara has a powerful genjutsu too so we can't jump in too concusions yet but we will see more of madara but for now itachi is better

madara ofcos!!!!,he has the ems,his wood clone caught raikage in a genjuts despite the latter's raiton armour activated.sasuke broke out of itachi's tsukiyomi with 3 tomoe only,madara is wayyyy better than sasuke. Madara is obviously better.

From what we have seen so far itachi is but i wudnt be surprised if madara was.

With facts we know its itachi, but madara has high possibility of being better than itachi at genjutsu,

Reasons : he was leader of uchiha, he had to battle daily, so genjutsu was essential to end fight quickly, He have susano, means he has to have tsukiyomi,
he perfected susano, means he could also have perfected tsukiyomi, EMS > MS.
He could control the kyuubi.
