I have been wondering about this for a while. Back in chapter 386, Itachi revelaed few things about MS, particularily about Madara and his younger brother Izuna.:shrug::shrug:
Both Madara and Izuna awakened their MS, and later took the leadership of their clan.

Unfortuantely, Madara started losing his sight because of the over use of MS:sy:, due to the user gaining its immense power with the cost of their own light.
And so what Madara did was take his brother's eyes....
We later knew that after Madara transplated Izuna's eyes, he had what is known as Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan!
And Tobi confirmed that he "as a Madara imposter", was given the eyes by his younger brother who donated them willingly to protect the honor of their beloved Uchiha clan.
But what if Madara and Izuna just swapped eyes, meaning each transplanted the other's eye, wouldn't that be the same?
I mean even if Madara's eyes don't see the light anymore before being transplanted, Itachi had the same problem when he fought with Sasuke, but when Itachi's eyes were trannsplanted, Sasuke didn't really show any signs of visual problems +[obiviously the transplantation would've been pointless]
So Madara has Izuna's eyes and Izuna had Madara's eyes, is pretty much the same, and never proven otherwise... it was never implied that EMS cannot be a double operation

What is your opinion on this? Can two people switch MS and get EMS instead? if not, is this a plot hole?
It might imply that Tobi= Izuna (because the nine tails recognizes Tobi as Madara after the Nine tails attack on Konoha 16 years ago) which makes some sense because the eyes were somewhat the same.
BTW this is not a Tobi ID thread, because I am just sharing my thoughts on the idea of the eye swap, :ice:
