Why are there 6 magatamas on Naruto?

When Naruto's in "Chakra Mode" there are 6 magatams on his lower neck. Does that have something to do with Sage of 6 Paths?

IMO I think that means that hes the reincarnation of the SO6P. son (younger brother) because the younger brother had the body of the sage
