Why does no one bother using clones?

Hello and welcome, i have a question one that has been burning in my mind for a loooooong time. Why dosent anyone in naruto bother using clones such as shadow clones or clones of any kind e.g. water clones. I mean clones would be so helpful, think about it. A clone is essentially a duplicate of the ninja who creates it i.e kakashi so my point is if there were two kakashis fighting wouldnt it be way better. I understand the downside is that you seperate half your chakra.

But the upside is that your clone can do anything you are capable of so all jutsu, the way they think everything and if i was a ninja that would be my specialty. With the amount of jutsu kakashi has having two or three of him would be useful. By the way this works for any ninja, im saying that because im sure you guys will point out kakashi dosent have alot of stamina. Well actually kakashis stamina has improved alot during the war. Anyway if anyone could explain to me why ninja do not use clones enough that would be very helpful.

It takes up a lot of chakra the only reason it works for naruto is beacuse he has a lot of it

4 one since it splits your chakra the user is not able to use there full array of jutsu
secondly they can be destroyed quite easily not to mention the strain it puts on the users body after they dissipate...which could seriously cripple you in a fight....someone like naruto who has a huge amount of chakra N very high stamina the effects are lessened...basically that's why

That is very true and yeah i forgot about that your right it is a high ranking jutsu i just find it weird how kakashi knows it and im sure plenty of others do to.

I guess thats true, but if you have great taijutsu and are a great ninja then it wouldnt be so easy.

I think clones like the substitution jutsu are like first grade fighting techniques. All the higher levels look down on it, until they get defeated by it. (btw, i'm differentiating between clones and shadow clones since Naruto is the only one to have enough chakra to produce multiple ones)

Zetsu makes clones
Itachi uses clones
Konohamaru uses clones
Muu uses that splitting clones thing
Deidara uses clay clones clones
Bee uses ink clones
Onnoki uses rock clones
2nd Mizukage has Jouki boy clone
Madara uses Mokuton clones
Hashirama uses Mokuton clones
Yamato uses Mokuton clones
Hiruzen uses clones
Hayate uses clones
Oro uses clones
Zabuza uses water clones
Kisame uses water clones

Thanks i guess this explains it pretty well and thanks everyone else i guess that answered my question and to the guy who said it would get boring if everyone used them i guess your right i mean i cant imagine 15 A's fighting lol

Because they got to worry about their chakra levels, its not like their Naruto Uzumaki Who has like dnvgiurng895t95698tg4irfmoewmf3 Limited chakra . & Theirs 2 different types of Shadow Clones : The Solid ones that can perform jutsu's, and move/run that Naruto, Kakashi, Kisame, Itach etc. Use & The ones that just stand there that dont move or anything, but just there as a decoy .

It's a b rank technique, but it was on the kinjutsu scroll because it's so dangerous to pretty much everyone but naruto. (Thank god that naruto was the lucky one to try and learn it.)
