Me, yes: reason why

1. God set aside the seventh day for rest, now you try to work for four weeks straight, 9 to 5, working, and you'll find that you will become mentally stressed, unsettled, angry, possibly suicidal. now the reason is, because there is a certain amount of information, work, and pressure that your brain can take, and th reason you will feel mentally stressed, unsettled, angry and possibly suicidal, is because these are the actions that the body takes to tell you to stop, and rest.

this can only be of design, not accident. if anything were an accident, where do our morals come from, what is the point of charity, i mean, how does giving a dirty, skimpy, 2 legged boy on the street gonna help you in life. why would it be wrong for a father to have sexual intercourse with their daughter, who makes and writes the laws, who sets the standards that us as human beings should live by.............

almost all the laws, establishments, countries, companies, and organizations come from some aspect in the bible........for example, the business Colgate,
William Colgate, started out by giving tithe to his local church, he started out by tithing what God requested in the bible which was 10% of a mans earnings during the week, now, he started off like this, and soon after, he realised that his business was blooming, and so he tried 20%, and he his earnings basically doubled, gradually he raised it until 100% and now you find his brand in almost every single grocery store, petrol station, supermarket, bathroom, and such.

The Country of America

That country was founded by the victims of persecution, martyrs who wanted to worship God in peace, in the safety of their own home, in freedom, and thus America was founded

The Country of China has Words in their calligraphy that supports the stories in the bible (old testament)

you find the stories in these books, verses and chapters

First Story about 1 God
Genesis 1:1 ---Link---->

Second Story about Creating Man
Genesis 2:7 ---Link---->

Third Story about the Devil tempting Eve
Genesis 3:4-6 ---Link---->

Fourth Story about Noahs Ark
Genesis 7:6,7 ---Link---->

and

Fifth story about dividing the people who were building the tower of babel up by causing them to speak in different languages
Genesis 11:1-9 ---Link---->

these are some of the supports that i have that have shown me that God does exist

you just proved to yourself why it is futile to believe in god. if you cant argue why you believe in something, then there is no use in believing it. you said it was just the act of arguing to people about something like this is where you failed. yes arguing it for the sake of just arguing is a useless ordeal in some cases, especially this case, but another reason why it failed is because you were not capable of bringing up a 100% proof backed answer to whoever you were arguing with. which brings me back to why it is useless to believe in something that you cannot back up with 100% proof. The real answer surprisingly is easier and logically correct, which is agnosticism. You just cant prove or disprove something like god, atleast a god based on religion. (because religion is created by humans). No humans, no religion. no god?? maybe, maybe not. There could be a god that does not exist in religion. i am going off topic but its something to think about. Maybe god does not need worshiping. maybe god is not really a human figure like we are. it could just be a thing. a being with no shape. it could be animate or inanimate. god could be a metaphor for whatever created the universe, possibly a big bang? a recycle of the universe matter from a dead universe to create a new universe which we now live in until the next collapse? who knows. There are so many possibilities but yet people limit their view to such narrow-mindedness simplicities.

Neither side in this endless debate can give certain proof of their claims. Religious people can't prove God exists, nor can atheists prove that he doesn't. Don't just throw away the entire discussion, but only look at one side to be at fault for not providing proof of its claims. If God exists, how do you know? If he doesn't, how do you know? I'm tired of atheists (I understand that you consider yourself agnostic) looking at religious people for all the answers to their claims, when they're the ones who questioning their faith in the first place. Where are their answers? There's two sides to every coin, as is there to every debate.

Well its simple the atheists are gonna regret their belief when they are thrown into the bottomless pit by Allah on the day of judgement.

So, if I fly a plane into some buildings, or blow up some people; that'll save me from this "bottomless pit" that you speak of?

i'm an atheist. there is no reason for me to believe in a sky fairy/gnomes/goblins/ice trolls/the flying spaghetti monster/superman/panda inside mars/naruto..

really. i'm occupied with what is. i won't occupy myself with what might be.

using reason is the best way to go forward
:)

Religious people can't prove God exists, nor can atheists prove that he doesn't.

the burden of proof lies with the person making the assertion: the religious person

also, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

That's only because you believe that to be true. What is truth? Truth is subjective based upon something one believes to be true. ;)

the burden of proof is, unless you have a better proposition, the best way to prove something.

you cannot prove something backwards. it is unsound and unreasonable.
it's like being guilty until proven innocent.

it should and is innocent until proven guilty.

truth may be subjective. however, for one to believe something is true, one must have facts, evidence.

Not really. Somebody has to say "God exists" for someone to then say "No, he doesn't". You're the ones coming along with the contradictions, so therefore, you'll need evidence to support them. The idea of deities came long before atheism, otherwise there would have been nothing for them to say they don't believe in.

That sounds more like what a religious person would say in this predicament. Maybe you misworded it?

You tell 'em, S. Trainxd

@Toothpaste- Wrong. One only needs probable cause to believe something, not facts.

Okay, so atheism is trying to prove something backwards...your point? Also, there is no evidence to support the lack of a creator...again, your point? xd

@wizard I'm trying as I always have, but I've also known that there's no way to actually convince an athiest or vice versa...pointless it is, this debate. xd

Therefore, you can't say whether God exists or not because there's no evidence to prove either side (man, I wish I didn't have to stoop to that level of argumentxd).

And until scientists find out how to make a living thing out of non-living material, I'd wager to say that your side's gonna have a harder time participating in this discussion.

@S. Train- Yeah, but I'm personally having fun with itxd

sure. you can believe anything you want.
however, if an adult tells me that a sky fairy watches over them, i will not take them seriously.

facts do not need ones belief.

sorry for the double post..

atheism isn't out to prove anything.

it's simply the rejection of belief in deities.

Yeah, I know, but alot of 'em can real p*icks when it comes to talking religion (some, not all of them). I'd go into my reasons for having faith, but I've posted them at least twice alreadyxd

now you say that you know atheism isn't out to prove anything?
that's a contradiction and a red herring.

faith by definition is belief in something without evidence. you can believe but i won't take it seriously.

I never asked you to, otherwise I'd be a priest trying to convert youxd Besides, I was basically inferring that MOST of them aren't really proving anything. I have nothing against atheists, but some really have a tendency to scoff at religious people, which I just can't stand. Of course, I also hate it when the average religious people try to become a pastor and preach to those who don't believe anyways, so I'm kind of in the middle of it all.

...but...what? Of course it is...that's just...U_U

Atheism is always trying to prove something; it would seem that you do not understand it.

Theism is not trying to prove the belief in a creator since that is based on faith. However, it takes a lot more faith to be an atheist than it does to be a theist.

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to pull this card because I get flamed every time for lack of understanding: atheism is a religion. It has all the makings of a religion, it even goes so far as to prove other religions to be false. The deity of atheism? None other than the person believing in it...which is called humanism.

Don't even bother with a response to that; I've heard it a thousand times over. I know everything you, or anyone else, has to say about it...so I bring it back to what is truth: truth is something one believes to be true. ;)

when you say 'MOST of them...' i'm assuming you are talking about atheists.. they do not need to prove anything. atheism is simply the rejection of belief in deities.

you are either religious or not. no such thing as being in the middle of it.
