and apparently Minato says:

and not:

"His father had respect on the same level as the 'Legendary Sannin.'" (*********** translation).

Looks like Kakashi has a lot to live up to seeing that Sakumo was seemingly better than the Sannin by far...

Probably the DNA issue. Just like Jiraiya couldn't be revived, Orochimaru hadn't learned Edo Tensei at the point he died, and when he did it was already too late to get his DNA. Kabuto wasn't even alive, either.
