Like he said maybe water and fire, and water was shown before that it can be mixed with rasengan but it will probably be hard to manipulate its shape into a sphere.

It's didn't work for Kakashi because he failed too like his Master. It's only for Naruto, Cheat with shadow clone training.(or Minato didn't much time for train, died early.) But logically yes, you can combine with all nature form if you can able to do that.
