Why Naruto anime got the chance to be realised (tho with fillers) even when the manga is still being realised and Ao no exorcist and Soul Eater have lame ass anime adaptations?
Why Bones studio couldn't do something like Pierrot one?
I mean, Ao no exorcist and Soul Eater would be way a lot more popular if they had a decent anime.

I mean it! Soul Eater manga is way better than anime, specially after "Batle for Crew" arc. After that, all it's completly off plot. Black Star and Kid get more awesome moves...same with Maka who achieves the soul collection and makes Soul a death scythe.
Also, in manga it's explained Eibon-Shinigami partership.
For not to mention Kishin's defeat was a completly troll.

For Ao No Exorcist, well...they had to take a forceful decision since the Anime is Weekly and Manga is Monthly.

The Anime caught up too rapidly with the Manga and thus, the makers had 3 choices:

- To shelve the Anime temporarily.
- Saturate the anime with Fillers for more than one year. Perhaps 2...
- To continue with its own storyline and end the season.

It chose the last option. I prefer the manga approach but it's sad, they couldn't do full justice to manga storyline.

Ao No Exorcist would have been more popular, had it not been a monthly manga.

All of that, just change to Soul Eater^ Anime=Weekley, manga=monthly. Caught up too fast. Simple and sad problem.

I agree with everyone about Ao No Exorcist. The manga and anime just couldn't ever match up.

Now on to Soul Eater...
I loved the anime. I haven't read the manga but i have heard it is different to the Anime. The only thing that ruined it for me was the ending. It was terrible. Ruined the whole thing for me.

The anime isn't canon, it never happened in the legit ongoing Soul Eater. Anything after episode 36ish is filler. The manga is amazing. Same for Ao No Exorcist. Manga and anime couldn't match up in the end.

I feel like I have to explain this so much, bad habbit of mine xd

Hmmm~
Indeed the catching up was what had them make a choice, and they made a similar choice for both series, which is why I'm voting for them doing something like 'Soul Eater: Brotherhood' and 'Ao no Excorcist: Brotherhood(kind of fittingxd)', like they did with FMA, just that they wait until the manga draws near their ends, which Soul Eater is probably.
However! I did enjoy some of the moments in Ao no excorcist and Soul Eater, it's almost always fun and epic to watch it all in moving pictures!

This might work :lmao: I know that they're weekly anime and monthly manga, but I wouldn't mind to wait...if they had shelved it.
Or they just could have waited a bit longer to make the anime... Dunno.
I didn't like the anime cause when I started to watch it I was like at 40 ep of SE. So, it was just terrible for me. Specially the Baba yaga castle arc.
Bout Ao no exorcist...uumm I was like in manga chapter 4 IoI And it was bit slow for me, so started with anime...which tow first chapters seemed even slower xd Then I heard it was completly off plot like SE...so I didn't whatched it anymore.

Well, both Soul Eater and Ao No Exorcist's anime endings episodes are bad since they aren't canon.

Ao No Exorcist anime follows the manga plotline completely; up to the point Rin faces off with Amaimon for the second time. After that, it's a lot of bullshit. I won't write all the points I disliked in it cause that might spoil many people but yeah, those "fillers" doesn't strike as much as the manga plot.

Still, if we consider that those were "fillers", then Ao No Exorcist and Soul Eater can boast to have among the best Anime fillers, duh ~`

I agree about the temporary wait but oh well, try explaining that to the greedy money-making makers of nowadays. U_U

For Ao No Exorcist, it's not completely off-plot. As I said, it goes non-canon post the 2nd time Rin and Amaimon squares off. Which occurs at the 17th episode if my memory serves me right. It "ends" at the 25th episode. Obviously, the manga story still continues. In short, Ao No Exorcist's anime has 15 "Canon" Episodes, 8 "Non-Canon Episodes" & 2 "Fillers". By fillers, I mean, real fillers; not anime-take episode. Like there's one where 3 of them go seaside & there's one when there's cooking contest :p

As for, it starts "slow". Well, that's basically the rhythm of the manga; though it's battle chapters are quite intense. Ao No Exorcist is not really the typical Shounen manga (like FT, Naruto, Bleach ect...) where in 4 chapters, you get random fights + some epic dialogues + some epic scenes + some fanservice + some humor. Sure, there's those elements in Ao No Exorcist but it also got a deep dark supernatural tone that gives a strong accounting on the "work" of Exorcism.

Also, it tries to develop its character' persona pretty slowly. In Naruto, for example, you get the small boy, learn of his past/present, get a gist of his attitude and learn of his objectives. In Ao No Exorcist, again, there's those elements but again, there's more to it. There are many secrets that got unveiled to Rin as chapters go on and we get to see lots of new persona developing into Rin. In a way, it shows its growth as a character; both power-wise and attitude-wise. However, in Naruto, FT, OP, Bleach ect... the main-characters grow in power more quickly and develop a new ideal post 20-25 chapters. Rin, on the other hand, grows stronger very slowly. However, his characterization keeps evolving after every 3-4 chapters. Add to that, most of the other characters also get a pretty deep presentation.

IMO, these 2 different takings on the tone and characterization induce a slow-moving chapters. And it slackens a bit more since there's much less humor in Ao No Exorcist; compared to usual Shounen mangas. Still, I personally like it; as it fits the story well. In a way, that's a bit my way of writing FFs (lots of build-ups and lots of character evolvment and fewer battle/powerups portions :p), so maybe that's why I love it that way. Personally, I barely have complains on Ao No Exorcist; though I wished it didn't over-dramatize all characters and was weekly manga; instead of monthly.

But you're right bout the characters and Ao no exorcist in general...U_U I couldn't have said it better.

Honestly I only watched Soul Eater and Ao No Exorcist.

For Soul Eater I just feel it's really way to short and It's off manga. Other then that I think It was awesome.

For Ao No Exorcist I only watched the anime and enjoyed it a lot.
