Mmm Kabuto was still a pretty good shinobi back then but honestly, Sasuke was portrayed as a power house in comparison. Kabuto already admit that close quarters was his weak area, so fighting a competent Uchiha with kenjutsu training and lightning release is almost suicide. Lightning style comes equipped with a numbing effect, meaning that if hit, the opponent is incapable of moving in almost all scenarios. Not only that, but it makes his sword almost unable to be blocked as well - meaning Kabuto has to dodge it if he doesn't want to get sliced.[

] CQC is a huge threat for Kabuto since Sasuke has been known for his speed in Part 2, and should easily be able to close the gap between them.

Honestly there aren't very many good scenarios for Kabuto here. Sasuke has the curse mark, Fire Style techniques, mid-long range Lightning Style techniques, Genjutsu.. I don't think Kabuto's has good odds here.

What he said. Sasuke pretty much stomps but with mid difficulty just because Kabuto is very intelligent and a master of psychological warfare. Also what about that genjutsu that Kabuto possesses, is it a threat?

Kabuto was around Kakashi's level but what I take from that is that Kabuto may have similar skills as a ninja but since he was reduced to a medic status, Kakashi was superior.

I also believe early Shippuden Sasuke>early Shippuden Kakashi so I agree that Sasuke wins for sure.
