The Olympics today are about much more than sport (thats why I'm writing here). So: What do you think the Olympic games represent (besides a sports event)? and what do they mean to You?

I'm out for several hours but I hope I will be able to read some good replies when its over

I suppose its not all about competition or winning medals because the Olympic Athletes just focus on the obstacle course ahead and not worry about if their going to either win or lose but that's just my personal opinion on the subject!
