For once, I'm don't feel like mentioning what this poem was inspired about.
The little girl smiles
Smiling through the pain
No one can tell what's really inside
She's letting other people use her shoulder
For tears and troubles
Hoping she can have someone else's shoulder to lean on
No one's there for her when she cries herself to sleep
No one's there to comfort her when the aching pain peaks
Absolutely no one can see what she's going through
The only thing keeping her alive is all the people that lean on her
She looks so strong
But inside she's dieing slowly
She's so young and losing her grip
Losing her grip on life itself
She just wants to give up
Nothing hurts more than an empty heart
Nothing can heal such a fake smile
Or a fake laugh
She has friends but are they true?
She's beginning to doubt if she even has friends at all
She just lets everyone use her shoulder
Everyone needs such a sturdy rock
She knows
But still the scissors intruge her
A fight not worth fighting for
She just wants to get up this ladder
But even she wants to shatter
While her solid core slowly breaks
