Power levels vs intelligence levels

Something I have liked about this series is how intelligence is often used to win fights where one character is clearly overpowered. How much do you think this actually matters as powerlevels continue to increase. If shikamaru is a 10/10, and naruto is a 3/10 and tobi is somewhere in-between, will that actually cause problems for him? Or are we looking at intelligence as something that brings diminishing returns when power levels go up? Cause bee, naruto and guy on the same team seem like they would drown in relative stupidity. Any thoughts?

Look at Temari vs Shikamaru, shikamaru outsmarted Temari and could have won but he wasnt strong enough and was out of chakra making Temari the winner.

Sometimes the power level is just too much ex: tobi madara Naruto nagato >>> shikamaru kakashi shikaku etc. Overwhelming power > intelligence.

Intelligence has never mattered that much in this manga. If you go back and check Data-book I or II, you'll find that even in Part I most of the time the shinobi with higher intelligence lost to the ones with lower intelligence. In Part II intelligence matters even less, Shikkamaru whose one of if not thee most intelligent character in the manga, could only defeat a Hidan level ninja by increasing his power by learning to use Asuma's trench knives. Meanwhile Naruto one of the greatest raw power ninja's is able to defeat 5 Bijuu at once.

A gree, you need a good amount of both to be powerful. But let's face it supreme power >>>>>>>>> supreme intelligence.

Shikamaru can be as intelligent as you want BUT he is still fodder and would stand 0 chance against any powerful shinobi.
