For those who think that fast ninjas couldn't avoid being caught by a sharingan genjutsu, i will just ask you one question:

- How can you cast an eye-to-eye genjutsu against an opponent you can't even follow with your eyes?

That's why you stop them, and then cast it.

for sure! any sharingan genjutsu can be avoided simply buy not looking into the eyes so they become more of defence than offence since most skilled nin know not to look in the eyes therefore impairing their vision of the opponent.

And how Madara did manage to stop him? He was immobile and distracted by Tsunade, right?

Minato has to take out his Kunais and spread them over the battlefield. In this time, Itachi can already cast an illusion.

2. You don't need to keep eye contact, it's enough for Minato to simply look at Itachi, and be aware, he will.

3. Minato isn't moving with his speed permanently.

???

so are you agreeing..or what?
I'm just saying that it would have never happened in a 1vs1 except if Raikage stop his moves and decide to look at Madaras eyes

1. Why are you creating a debate between Minato and Itachi? I'm only talking about a general debate between speed and sharingan

2. Why do you think Minato will have to take out his kunais and spead them in all his fights? Has he fought like that against Tobi? Has he fought like against the rock ninja in Kakashi gaiden? And even if he does that, why do you think while doing that he will be looking at Itachis eyes?

3. No, Itachi is the one who needs to bring an eye contact with the opponent in order to cast the genjutsu

i personally agree that if you have enough battle experience, then you have a better chance at not getting caught up in one, but, it also depends on the genjutsu user..

and please don't start with any "i think in a 1 vs 1 battle" scenarios because those are all just based on opinion and there is no way that you would know exactly how that fight would go.. :D

Maybe but i'm only saying that on the pic you've shared, the only reason why he got captured by Madaras Susanoo was because he was distracted by Tsunade. So in a 1vs1, he wouldn't have been distracted by someone, so this situation would have never happened. Now, maybe Madara could manage to create a situation like that, but we never know
