Chapter 7 is finally here! It didn't go exactly as I hoped, but I didn't expect it to be a good chapter in the first place. I'm looking forward to Chapter 8 more.
Sorry, I didn't expect it to be so long. It just had to end there so my plan for Chapter 8 can work. xd Even though it is long, I would like for you to read it.

Chapter 7
She couldn't focus in class at all. After fighting Tatsuki and Eita, she couldn't blame herself for not paying attention. They claimed that they were good, but she couldn't believe them. First they targeted a government building, then they went after Kota. She had no idea how the two were related. A student had nothing to do with government, so she couldn't fit any pieces together. She couldn't just sit around and wait for them to strike again! She had to figure out what they were planning, along with Kota's help. 'How will we handle those two?' she asked herself. She didn't want to admit it, but Eita was right. She just unlocked her power, yet she barely had any idea how to use it. It seemed like Kota was afraid of using his power, so the two of them were at a huge disadvantage.
“Students, before I end class for the day, there is something I would like to tell you,” their teacher said suddenly. “I'm sure that you have heard what happened yesterday. The government building located in this town was destroyed. We advise all the students to stay inside until the culprit is caught. School might be closed down until then, but that is still being decided. Until you hear anything, make sure you come to school. Class dismissed!”
To think that they might close the school until Tatsuki is caught. It's not like the police could catch him. The government probably wouldn't have been able to catch him either. He had mysterious powers, which no normal human could stand up against.
“Mavi, we have to talk,” Kota said as he walked up to her.
“Yeah,” she replied. After their last encounter with Tatsuki, they had to come up with a strategy. Especially if he lived with Eita. Every time spent in his house he could be in danger.
She was about to roll herself, and then she noticed that she was already moving. “Kota, I can roll myself. You don't have to help me around.”
“Your arms are burned, right?” he asked.
She nodded, and remained silent. He noticed everything about her, even though she never noticed anything about him. She thought everyone mocked her because of her daymares, so she never noticed anything about anyone. To think she thought the world wasn't worth changing yet. If there were people like Kota out there, then it was always worth changing. People like Kota, that was who they needed as allies.
She looked around, and she looked at Kota. They weren't heading out of the school building, instead they were going down an empty hallway. “Kota, where are we going? Aren't we going to leave school?”
He shook his head. “No. We don't want Tatsuki and Eita to find us, so we're going to do something that we never do.”
“Which is what? We go to school almost everyday, so what could we do in here that we never did before?” she asked in a confused tone.
“We're going to the library,” he answered softly.
That sparked her interest. No one ever went to the library, unless they had to go there during class. It was the only place in the school where no one would interrupt them, and no one would expect students to be in the library after school.
They reached the library, and when Kota tried to open the door it wouldn't budge. It was locked. 'Now what do we do? How do we unlock the door without the key?'
“Mavi, is your power only lightning?” Kota asked.
“Huh? No. I used water against Tatsuki before. I just unlocked my power yesterday, so I have no idea if that's all I can do,” she answered sadly.
Lightning would destroy the door, and water wouldn't unlock it. There's no way they could just walk around and find the key, but the library was the best place to hide at.
“All we have to do is get the lock in the keyhole to turn. Wind might do the trick, but the question is if you can use wind,” he said.
Maybe she should just break the door. All she had to do was put a hole near the door knob, and then they could open it from the inside. She could do it; she used lightning against Tatsuki, and using it on a door would be easier. “Leave it to me, Kota!”
Last time she used lightning it was because of her strong feelings to stop Tatsuki and Eita. Maybe her feelings controlled her power, but Eita used her wood power so quickly. 'I still want to stop them, so I should be able to use lightning!' She focused the feelings she felt from her heart, and concentrated on her hands. She had to use the lightning; she couldn't afford to mess up. If the lightning failed to come out then they would have to go somewhere else, or Kota would have to break the door down. 'I'm going to stop them. If I don't stop them innocent people will die. It's only me and Kota, but we will win! I won't accept anything less! This is for Kenji!'
She felt the familiar surge of power in her hands, and she focused on lightning. She felt the familiar sting of lightning against her burned hands, but she kept focusing on the lightning. She was not going to allow pain to stop her lightning. “Time to get into that library! Lightning Clash!”
The lightning left her hands, and went straight toward the library door. There was a small explosion, and smoke filled up the area. It was a good thing the hallway was empty, otherwise the students would have been terrified. The explosion wasn't that loud, so hopefully it wouldn't attract any attention from teachers.
When the smoke finally cleared, there was a medium sized hole in the door, and she smiled. “That worked. Now we can go inside.”
Kota gave her a weird look, then he placed his hand through the hole and opened the door. “We could have tried something else, but I guess this works too.”
They entered the library, and Kota closed the door behind him. He then pushed her to the back of the library at a table. She could understand not wanting to be by the door, but she didn't understand why he wanted to be at the very back. Maybe he wanted to take extra precaution.
“Don't move, Mavi,” Kota said as he took a seat and placed his hands above her own.
“What? Why?” she asked, and then she felt something weird. She felt a weird energy in her hands, but it felt nice. It was hard for her to describe, but it felt like something was inside her. Her hands didn't feel any pain from the lightning she just used, and the burns weren't bothering her as much. 'So this is Kota's healing power? It feels amazing. I can't believe he's afraid to heal people.'
Kota then moved his hands down over her right ankle, the one that gave her trouble. At first she felt a lot of pain instead of the nice feeling, and she felt like moving her ankle away. She trusted Kota, and he told her not to move. She tightened the grip she had on her wheelchair instead of moving her ankle, so she wouldn't be focused on the pain as much. The pain slowly started to fade away, and she stopped holding onto the wheelchair.
“Wow, Kota. Thank you very much. I thought I'd be stuck in this wheelchair for a while,” she said cheerfully.
Kota stood up, and smiled at her. “No problem. If we're going to fight Tatsuki and Eita, then we need to be at our best. You in a wheelchair is not your best.”
“Doesn't matter if she's in a wheelchair or not. You still can't beat me,” she heard.
“That voice! Tatsuki!?” she exclaimed.
They looked in front of them, and they saw Tatsuki standing there. 'When did he get there?'
“What are you doing here, Tatsuki?” Kota asked angrily.
“Your sister knows you very well, Kota. Though I'm not here to talk this time,” he said as he pointed to Mavi. “You want to change the world too, don't you? Then join me. If you join me I'll allow Kota to join too. He can heal the injured. If you refuse I will resort to violence. If I have to resort to violence, then only you will join me. I won't spar Kota's life. What will you do?”
To think he was at that again! He had to realize that they weren't going to join him! To think he threatened Kota right in front of them! She couldn't understand him whatsoever. “I won't join you, Tatsuki. I don't want to kill anybody to change the world! If we have to kill innocent people to change the world, then how are we changing the world? Killing is not the way to change the world! We need to make the people understand that there are wrong choices out there!” She got out of her wheelchair, and she placed her hand on the knife that was still hidden on her dress.
“What if they don't understand!?” Tatsuki yelled with a lot of anger in his voice. “I sacrificed everything just to make this choice. If they don't understand what they do is wrong, then what will you do? Will you keep trying to convince them? Will you allow them to continue to make wrong choices? Will you allow their wrong choices lead to death? I don't even know why I try to convince you. You don't understand everything yet.”
Tatsuki disappeared, and she looked around. The library was the worse place for a battle, because he could hide among the book shelves. She couldn't see them, and she took out the knife. “Kota, we must be careful. We don't know everything Tatsuki can do.”
Kota nodded, and they were both looking around. Tatsuki could appear anywhere he wanted, but she had no idea where he would show up at. He could easily attack Kota first, or target her first. If only they were able to hear him. That was the clue to beating him! Sound.
She concentrated her feelings into her hands again, and thought about water. If she flooded the floor with water, then they would be able to hear him when he reappeared! She felt the gentle surge of energy in her hands, and it felt different from the lightning. The lightning felt uncontrollable, and violent. The water felt calm, and peaceful. They seemed like completely different powers, yet she had both of them. “You won't get the better of us, Tatsuki! Water Cannon!”
Water shot out of her hands, and the floor started to fill up with water. She stopped the water before it could reach any books, which was still a pretty good amount of water. Tatsuki would make sound now when he would reappear. It was impossible for him to be sneaky.
“You think water will help you?” she heard from above.
She looked up, and she saw Tatsuki on top of a book shelf. He should have fought them fair and square instead of just hiding! “Tatsuki, you won't win by being sneaky! We'll beat you this-”
No, it was happening again! The burning in her throat was returning, and her eyes were burning. No! She couldn't have another daymare! A daymare would ruin the battle completely. She couldn't fight while crying. 'No! I don't want to see it again.' The burning in her throat prevented her from talking, and it wouldn't go away. She felt the tears roll down her cheeks, and nothing stopped the crying.
“Kenji, what is that?” she asked softly.
Kenji was glaring inside the warehouse, where there were a group of people surrounding a random table in the middle of the room.
“Kenji?” she asked in confusion.
“I don't know, Mavi. I hope it's nothing. We should get out of here, though,” he said quickly.
She turned around, and then she heard a loud roar. Her instincts told her to scream, and that was what happened. A scream left her mouth, and then all of a sudden she heard people.
“Kill those brats! Hurry up and kill them!”
“Run, Mavi!” Kenji exclaimed.
Her scream caused his death. It was her fault, yet he still sacrificed himself for her. 'Kenji, I don't understand anything. Why did your orb glow earlier? Why did it cause Tatsuki to retreat? Kenji, I need you. My daymares won't end. I need you to end them!' She fell to her knees, and the knife dropped to the floor.
“Kenji,” she cried.
“Mavi? What's wrong?” Kota asked as he ran over to her.
“I don't think so!” Tatsuki said as he appeared in between them, and he kicked Kota into a book shelf. He then ran at her, and she felt a sharp pain in her stomach as he kicked her, and then she was sent flying to the floor. She was gasping for air whenever she was trying to get up, but she couldn't bring herself to stand. She was only able to get up onto her knees. Tatsuki was surprisingly strong. He had to have a weakness somewhere, but she couldn't see any weakness.
“Do you understand now, Mavi? If you want to change the world you will have to join me. Kenji wanted you to change the world, right? He didn't care what methods you used, right? He only left his memory with you,” he said harshly.
“You're wrong,” she said softly. “Sure, he left me his memory. But thanks to everything he did as a kid, I was able to survive! He was the one that told me how everyone had a power inside them!”
“He was also the one that left you the orb that saved you this morning,” he said. “I know everything about what happened when you were a kid. I was observing everything that happened, and took in all the information I had. I was waiting for the perfect chance to strike. I knew you would end up being strong, which is why I didn't interfere whenever you were running for your life.”
'He was there?' she asked herself. He was there, yet he allowed Kenji to die. He could have stopped Kenji's death. “You had a kid die, just so I would become stronger? What type of sick person does that!?”
“Don't listen to him, Mavi! He's trying to get under your skin,” Kota called out.
It was too much. The daymare, the fact that Tatsuki was there when he died. It was all too much! She was so confused; she couldn't think of what she should do. She remembered Kenji the whole time, but those memories held her back because of her daymares. 'Should I forget about it all? Is Tatsuki right? Were sacrifices really necessary? Is it pointless just for me to try?'
“Mavi, join me. Kenji would have wanted it that way, wouldn't he? It's not a crime to forget it all. I can help you forget everything. Mavi, will you join me?” Tatsuki asked with a sinister tone.
She placed her hands on her head, and shook her head. 'Why didn't I realize this earlier?' He was using the same power he used on Kota! It felt like someone was invading her body; trying to take over her mind. “N-No. I don't want to forget! If I forget wouldn't I become weaker?”
“You're weak because those memories cause you to cry, right?” Tatsuki pressured. He still had that sinister tone in it.
“Don't listen to him, Mavi!” Kota exclaimed.
She was squeezing her head hoping that it would make everything stop. It felt like someone was ripping her soul out of her body; trying to make her become a completely different person. 'No, I can't fight against it.' The daymare was still affecting her. She was too weak to fight against the feeling inside her. She was slowly losing herself to Tatsuki's power. She couldn't bear it much longer. Her memories of Kenji were slowly fading away! 'Kenji.'
“Mavi,” Kota said, but she could barely hear him. She thought she heard water, but she couldn't tell.
“It is pointless. Those memories made me weak. I had to discard them to become stronger,” she said with no emotion.
“You finally understood what I've been saying, Mavi,” Tatsuki said as he teleported over to her. He placed her hands over her stomach, and she felt a surge of energy inside her. The pain in her stomach was slowly fading away, and she was able to stand again. “Now, get rid of Kota. He's the only one that stands in our way now.”

She looked at Kota, who was squirming just to get on his knees, was looking at her with concern on his eyes. She focused her anger into her hands, and lightning instantly appeared in them. “Goodbye, Kota. Thunder Clash!”

Author's Note:
I like cliff hangers, so you can expect them sometimes. Especially at parts like this. It took me a while to write this chapter, and I know it is not perfect, and that I have a lot to improve on. I can take criticism, and I would love to have criticism so I would know what to improve on.
