Why Madara Uchiha fought Hashirama Senju

you dont need rinnegan to get senju dna. madara unlocked it fair and square. he needed senju dna for his plan to work in the future

I agree, even though I think he obtained Senju DNA to strenghten his Chakra and I disagree with Rinnegan part, that's why :

1. Madara obtained Rinnegan shortly before his death.
2. Madara DIDN'T die while fighting against Hashirama.
3. Madara knew Nagato.
