Jiraiya is pretty amazing, I think a battle between Jiraiya and Itachi could go either way, most likely based on external factors.

Itachi himself said him and jiraiya would stalemate if they fought. Conversation is done unless you want to keep disagreeing with the manga then by all means go ahead. (Note when a character admits stalemate and or superiority, it means that they themselves know their limits.)

If its so easy then how did he get into sm v pein+summons? O ya cuz hes a boss like that! Jman has shown a great arsenal if techs.

Simply cuz he needs to concentrate a bit and assemble chakra before using tsukiyomi or Amaterasu. Have you never notice that before Itachi uses one of those 2 jutsus, he close his eye for few seconds? And you think the opponent won't notice it? Especially in the case where he was. He was about to get captured, so the first think he could think about in this situation is to escape

look jman is my fav and he has a great arsonal and his sm is strong but itachi is too much for him.
