Tobi is the main villain in this manga, yet only one person has been able to actually best him, Itachi had years, Minato did it in minutes, wtf is the problem??? :shrug:

Itachi will never beat Minato.

Itachi one shot Oro twice. That means if there were two Oro's then Itachi would only need two attacks. We all know Minato can't do that thus Itachi > Minato by that alone. If you wan't to get even more into it then here I go.

1.Itachi's tsukuyomi can only be broken by Uchiha members. He said that early in the manga. So Itachi > Minato by just that.

2.Itachi has yata mirror and sword of totsuke. The sword is something Nagato and Oro could not escape against when hit. Zetsu also stated how because of those two sacred treasures Itachi's susanoo is invincible. Again Itachi > Minato

3.Itachi is crazy fast as shown when he was able to keep up with Naruto in kyuubi mode after revived by Kabuto. Still can't tele like Minato so in that sense Minato > Itachi

4.Itachi tried to get Kisame to not fight Jiraiya so by telling him that he(Itachi) would tie against Jiraiya maybe then kisame would not be so reluctant to battle. Not meaning Itachi would actually die against Jiraiya.

5.Minato beat Tobi mainly because Tobi got overconfident in his abilities.
So if Itachi new about Tobi's power to be intangible then he would be able to beat Tobi as Tobi stated to Sasuke that since he kept the secret from Itachi, Itachi could not kill him. So if Itachi new that(which he would if Tobi and him battled) Itachi could beat Tobi.(at least without the rinn)

Minato wen't against Tobi not knowing of his abilities and Itachi would have as well. So since Tobi said Itachi can beat him if he new of his secret then that means Itachi by just A Tobi vs Itachi battle would put him on par if not higher than Minato.

While it is true that Minato has more/better hype and more impressive feats you have to also accept that most characters didn't even see Itachi go all out so he obviously wouldn't get hyped as much. But when characters, like Zetsu, saw his full power they considered him immortal. Minato, as the head of a village, had a lot of time to shine in front of people like Kakashi and Jiraiya whereas those same two people might not even have known that Itachi even HAD Susanoo, let alone the spiritual weapons. When you're a member of a underground criminal organization you obviously have less time to shine than when you're Hokage.

But I'm 50/50 on Itachi vs Minato tbh
