Tobi is at the very least as old as Nagato. Nagato is probably older than Minato (or as old, at the very least). For Obito to be Tobi, Obito needs to be older than Minato. And thats not possible. Saying Obito is Tobi is as good as saying Obito is older than Minato (or as old). Who in their right mind would truly believe that? Which is why it is completely impossible for Obito to be Tobi.

There are tons upon tons more facts that prove that its utterly impossible. I could write a book.

I used to think Tobi was Obito, especially when he acted so innocent. However, I don't think he is anymore.

1. Kishi made Obito out to be a hero to the village. The person who made one of the most famous ninja in Konoha who he is today.

2. Obito said that he looked up to Kakashi's dad because he didn't abandon his friends... Why in the hell would he be like "Here Kakashi, take my eye ball..." -last rock falls on Obito- "Mother ******! Didn't say thank you! I will **** over the ENTIRE ninja world and makes sensei's life ****!"

3. If Obito had a second chance at life would he not have used it to try and find Rin?

With all that said, I am a HUGE fan of Obito and would LOVE if Tobi turned out to be him... but I highly doubt it at this Junction.

(Talking about a manga character in third person doesn't mean I really think the fictional character of Tobi cares what people say about him. Although I'd be pissed if someone said I was obito. :sy: )

For all those who believe Tobi = Obito

Alright, I think Kishi is doing this on purpose. Right when the Obito = Tobi theories were about to die down, he through some oil on the fire. So I am here to simply explain why Obito could be Tobi, but then lay out the final few things that simply halt the thoery.

Evidence that Obito is Tobi:
There are a few things that would lead us to believe that Obito is Tobi. Firstly, it's the name. Obviously, "Tobi" is very similar to "Obito". Secondly, when we first saw Tobi, he acted immature and he only showed a single eye, which conveniently was on the side that Obito would still have. Then theirs the hairstyle and the color of his first mask. These were the initial things that would lead us to believe that Tobi = Obito.

As things progressed, we saw more and more evidence such as his visual jutsu. This is really a big one, the fact that Tobi can use a wider range of Kamui. This is all fine and well. If this was all we knew, it would be clear that Obito=Tobi.

Evidence that Obito is NOT Tobi:
He lacks... motive! Yes. Why would nice, loyal, prideful Obito decide he wants to cast a giant gen-jutsu over the world?
Age. Now... this doesn't work if (as I believe) there is more then one Tobi. Firstly, Tobi seems to have connections to Madara, as in, before Madara vanished after with Hashirama. Secondly, He would've had to have acquired a vast range of Jutsu since the time he supposedly died and when Tobi fought Minato. These techniques included extracting Kurama, his 'ghost' ability and mastered that chain tai-jutsu.
Thirdly. Even if Obito DID harbor some grudge against the world, why on earth would he help Itachi take out the clan that he had so much respect for? Why would he want to control Kirigakure? It just doesn't make any sense.

Unknown factors that I believe Kishi will at some point elaborate on:
-The fate of Rin.
-Kakashi's possession of the Mangekyo Sharingan
(I find it unlikely that Kishi would place Kakashi Gaiden right between part 1 and 2 and in the first arch of part 2 expose Kakashi's Mangekyo Sharingan and his second closest friend just dropped of the face of the earth.)

-A biography of the sons of the Sage of Six Pathes.
-How Tobi gave Nagato the Rinnegan
-What exactly Zetsu is

I agree on everything, except I don't believe Kishi will have Kakashi's Mangekyo or Rin's fate anytime at all. Unless Kishi wanted us to believe it could be Obito.

If you check Izuna's height and weight, then check Tobi's height and weight... Tobi is .2 cm taller than Izuna and the same weight.

hmmm tobi and kakashi

Now Im not going where most of u thought I was. I wouldnt go that far as to say its obito. There has been plenty of evidence against that. But In this last chapter I beleive tobi implide that Kakashi knew him or saw him multiple times. Im talking about the part when he says you dont remember faces so I dont see the point in telling you. What do yall think?
