Interesting assumption but if the So6P had to go out of his way to stop it then it was evil. Even if its intentions where "good" killing many innocent people is bad. Nobody was dumb enough to attack the Juubi to breaks its peace. And if it wanted to stop humans from "destroying the world" it had a funny way of doing so since it was doing the same itself.

Everything is plot dude. You can't get mad at certain parts of the story and say it only went that way because of plot. It is just how Kishi wants the story to roll out. Naruto is the main protagonist so everybody know that he is going to win in the end.
