Tobi did not give Nagato the Rinnegan

I can understand why you people think this. But just because he said it, doesn't make it true. Tobi has said many things and we've all found out they're lies. But Tobi claims to have given Nagato the Rinnegan. So tell me the time in which you guys think he gave him the eyes. Well it'd be stupid to think that he gave him the eyes between the time of Jiraiya's training and when his parents were killed. The Rinnegan was an awakened technique by Nagato when he was being attacked. I'm sure Jiraiya would have known if someone had taken out Nagato's eyes and replaced them. I just don't understand why people think that.

1. He's only really lied about 2 things. 2. There's no other proof other than his word, and on the contrary, the fact that madara knows about nagato and is seemingly working with tobi contributes to the proof that perhaps tobi did give it to nagato.

There is no proof for both but if its true that the EMS evolves to rinnegan he did most likely gave nagato the rinnegan because nagato is not an uchiha. And just because tobi is a liar doesn't mean that all the things he says are lies.

I see what you are saying, but I don't know why he would lie about something as trivial as that. But you may be right.

He has lied about being Madara and to sasuke about the nine tails attack 16 years prior being a natural occurrence. While some of the things he has said has turned out to be true, he has lied so we cannot take everything he says for granted. We can't be positive either way.

Its proven true until Kishi says otherwise. As other mentions above^^, Madara statements support his claim, however, its not enough evidence to say Tobi gave Nagato the eyes.

Very true, but he had reasons for those lies. Madara for the fear of the name and the 9 tails attack to he could manipulate sasuke. You think if he was honest about being the one responsible for sasuke's clan massacre, sasuke would've been cool with it.

I won't say I know one way or another, but Tobi's word > than yours, and since words are all we have to go by as of now, it's the only piece of that information we have.
