I've seen alot of people say Gaara could beat Itachi but i'm not really sure myself. In a normal battlefield, I would say Itachi just about wins it. Even then Gaara has a big chance to win. In the desert I would say Gaara wins with low - mid diff, because he can fly etc and he has almost limitless sand. I don't think Itachi could keep up stamina wise. No eye contact if Gaara is high in the sky etc.

What do you guys think?

First of all Madara and hashirama battle didn't start that close as you can see they are running at each other, second of all..... There is no battle that start 5 meters away...... You reach 5 meter after you start fighting.

So I guess that Itachi can only cast illusion by keeping eye contact. Itachi can cast illusions with his whole body, whereby it is enough to simply look at him. And for you to know, Itachi even controlled a Shinobi at a distance where the sensors couldn't sense him.

And who cares about whether Gaara can fly and fights in the desert? A single glance is enough to hit Gaara directly with Amaterasu, the distance plays no matter, as well as he can fly. Amaterasu doesn't know distance.

33 yards is a 1/3 of a football field(football) being american

if a qb can throw a fooball that far he can see the target he's throwing the ball to

so based on that itachi would be able to see from that distance

These Itachi fanbiys are crazy.. First you have to consider that gaara has been fighting the strongest of the uchiha thus far and is still alive. There are facts that prove gaara can win, more than there are facts that show itachi can win:

1. Gaara has proven he can pull itachi out of his susanoo

2. Gaara has proven that he can block amaterasu

3. Gaara's long range fighting has shown effective against genjutsu users. (name one fight were gaara was trapped) Especially against Madara.

Nothing can protect itachi from gaara, plus itachi is legally blind.. Itachi fanboys please stop, your not proving anything but your ignorance.

But if Itachi activates Susanoo he will however be free from this sand. Gaaras sand could only pass through Susanoo after Oonoki has enlightened it. And Gaara however has no counter for Amaterasu, he has no counter for Itachis various Genjutsus Itachi is using in the very beginning of the battle, without the opponent is even noticing it and as I know Itachi is far faster and more tricky. His hand seal speed is so fast that it can't be seen by others, he can use clones without the opponent is even noticing it. You are underestimating Itachi far too much, your view is too one-sided. Itachi is the last person who would end a battle in a Ninjutsu spamm, since his intelligence and strategical skills are overtop those of the others by far - according to Kabuto he is able to read his opponents like an open book and can use this ability in order to outsmart his opponents well.

What else I have to say to someone who reduces Itachi to his Mangekyou Sharingan and a mere Ninjutsu spam? You are posting here Gaaras cheap techniques with the believe that he could outsmart Itachi with something like this.
