Sasuke has several advantages sm naruto didnt have vs 6 paths:

1. Plenty of instant 1 shot moves
2. Susanoo w/ ball of amateratsu ( he instantly took out 8+ zetsus)
3. Genjutsu
4. Susanoo defence
5. Chidori ranged attacks/ chidori nagashi

Taking into all these abilites, only 2 of 6 paths might be able to survive no. 2: deva path w/ almighty push and maybe if the one that can absorb ninjutsu can absorb it. Sasuke can the then kill him with swordplay deva path gets done in with ninjutsu.

When it comes down to it, amateratsu, sussanoo, and chidori aren't very useful against the preta path.

So basically, the only advantage Sasuke has is genjutsu, but that didn't seem to do Jiraiya too much good and Jiraiya's toad song genjutsu is one of the strongest out there.

No actually it's the other way around. Sasuke doesn't have the intel Naruto had (The paths' secret and Deva Path's interval), and even with the intel Pain could've won if his intent wasn't to capture Naruto, he clearly could've killed him when he pinned him down.

Sasuke doesn't stand a chance against Pain, the best he can do is give him some difficulty.
