Hi, I'm just wondering, but how long does it take a Moderator to reply to their pms? I need help deleting two specific threads, or modifying them.

It's sort of weird since their status is online. Or some of them are. I guess they're afk.

Depends on the Moderator. It's best to "report" yourself because we are mostly assigned in pairs, so the Mod(s) that also help(s) in that section can also help take care of it.

Moderators are very busy, and the system is overloaded as it is, so they have alot to handle by themselves.

Just be patient and im sure someone will reply to your problems.

Or simply Vm.. them

I don't recommend doing this... ^^

A PM is sufficient. Things don't always happen instantaneously so patience is a must.

and VMs aren't meant to be used for reporting such matters. VMs are more for socializing:)

In general, yes, many of the staff prefer to receive moderation requests via PM or the Report button. Mostly through the Report button.

Am just letting you know the truth, truth ain't always pink and happy like you think it is.

Mods do ignore people it's a simple fact that you can't deny.

Mods do not ignore PMs or VMs that are related to their job on NB. This said, we do have the right to ignore members who are obnoxious, ridiculous, flamers, haters, trolls or simply people we don't like if their VMs/PMs are simply not-moderation related.

So, The Leader, if you PM or VM a mod about something that has to do with his job as a mod, then no, you will not be ignored. Its childish to think we are here to be friends with everyone but we are here to do a job. A job we do, regardless of our feelings towards the members. So if a member that i don't specifically like or feel inclined to socialized with sends me a vm saying "Hi, how are you?" i have the right to decide not to reply. However, if the same member vms me saying "Scorps, you know were i can find the restrictions for a Nagato bio?" then he will get a reply, because that is my job as an RP mod. Pure and simple.

Stating in such a thread that mods ignore members is both ridiculous as it is telling only half the truth. Its an inflammatory reply designed not to be helpful but to instigate members against the staff.

To the OP i'll add one thing. When we close the browser window (and this is valid for any member), we don't immediately appear as off line. It takes about 15-30 minutes for the site to realize we aren't online and identify us as offline. So, if i close my browser window now, my name will still appear as online for 15-30 minutes more. This happens because most people don't hit the "log out" button on the forum tool bar. If you do it, then it takes about 2 minutes for your name to appear as offline. So, you might have vmed or pmed a moderator that in reality shows online but is not at the moment. We can also be editing posts, away from keyboard, etc etc. When you PM/VM us remember that we will only see it when our page reloads. And, for example in my case, if I'm checking cjs, i won't check the pms/vms send during that time until i finish the page I'm on. So, in essence, because you didn't get a reply in a split second, it doesn't mean you were ignored. I just means you aren't patient.

Adding on to scorps' post. It's one hour before the site logs you off automatically if you do not hit the "log out" button. So if I close my window and left for the day or whatever without hitting the log out button. You will see me online for an hour. Any VM's/PM's recieved within that time. I won't know until I log back in.
