But Man of Steel is written by Christopher Nolan who did the beyond-awesome latest batman trilogy. That's enough to give Superman a new movie lease.

Watchmen was watchable. Directed by Zack Snyder who directed 300 (awesome movie) and will direct Man of Steel.

DC Movies may be mostly crap but Nolan has a 100% success+quality cinema record and I'll bet that it'll continue with Man of Steel.

Something that'll be far far far from the torture of Superman Returns and hopefully, will make us forget that movie just like Dark knight made us forget Batman&Robin.

“Superman is the jewel in the DC crown,” Snyder told the Hall H audience of about 6,500. “And really what we’re trying to do is get his house in order, and then who knows what’s possible.”

It sounds as if he's planning something big. Another fake hope or plausible rumor, time will tell.

Nolan was the best man perhaps but his refusal just jeopardized everything. Hopes were high when Nolan was involved behind writing of Man of Steel. Now, there no much news for it. If it do happen, I doubt it'll be before 2014 or 2015.

Personally, A JLA movie needs much works. Not in terms of presenting solo Wonder Woman/Flash movie first but to present a strong enough villain. Let's admit it - the scale will need to be really high and it can't be a repetition of Avengers either. So, it's far from easy to make a JLA movie. Much harder than making an Avengers one.

Speaking of Avengers and Marvel:

Iron Man 3 has also been trailer-screened at Comic-Con.
Wolverine Origins and X Men First Class 2 are also in production by 20th Century Fox.
Fox are also trying to reboot Fantastic Four and Daredevil. Though, Marvel is trying to keep Daredevil's rights to themselves.

A Teen Titans will make big advancement for a JLA movie. The fact that it'll reunite a bunch of heroes together will make much greater advancement than solo-movies.

Then obviously, there's the villain part as I mentioned. There's barely someone whom I can envision to resist Superman+Batman+Wonder Woman+Flash+Aquaman+Green Lantern.

The villain itself will need to be developed in a separate movie; to make screen-time for other heroes. And he'll need to be powerful as hell. Darkseid perhaps? Or worst, they'll need to do a DC Villain squad which will delay movie chances furthermore - Like Legion of Doom, Anti-Justice League, Injustice League, Injustice Gang, Extremists, Justice Underground ect...

By the time, they end fitting half of the puzzle, we might have gotten married and become parents lol In short, you're right - they haven't got their shit right. If they were to make a JLA movie, there's big chance that it'll suck due to being rushed. Let's face it - Avengers isn't that good if there wasn't Iron Man and Thor in minimum.

Yeah if Nolan was on board then it'll be another history. Seriously, Nolan may make a Hamtaro live movie and it will still be awesome. xd

Btw, Marvel are also making a sincere effort on TV too. The recent Anime style series produced by Marvel Studios and a Japanese studio had much positives into it. They were short and didn't do on all famous Marvel heroes but it was a great try. I mean, mixing anime culture is a proof that besides making blockbuster live movies, they are also caring to succeed on TV level too.
