Yes his controlling the degree of there self control and stripping of there consensus. Ok lets say his directly controlling him, will Nagato have enough reaction speed to avoid ameterasu, does he have enough time to hold out his hands like that to suck it all in.

as soon as itachi looks at nagato its a done deal.

Ok, i'll finish this very quick. It took 3 S class ninjas to defeat Nagato - Itachi, Naruto and Bee. While Naruto and Bee were getting pounded, Itachi was devising a strategy. It took the combined efforts of 3 S class shinobi to defeat Nagato while he was crippled, controlled and handicapped. What are you gonna say now? Most of the work was done by Bee and Naruto, anyway.

how will itachi pass by CT, how will itach pass trough gedou mazou, how will itachi pass by a chou shinra tensei that if used by nagato himself is stronger. itachi will have his handfull with the summons he can't spam amaterasu and susano'o, nagato can fly and spaming element attacks at itachi, and remeber what nagato did to naruto, when he pulled him and drop a big rock on him, whosays nagato can't summon a bigger rock directly at itachi, and people saying itachi is smarter, yes he is but nagato isn't stupid and it only takes one touch to rip his soul, plus azura pathe with all his missiles and shit, nagato has bigger arsenal by far than itachi, smarts alone won't do it.

Hmm, let's look at their fight again and consider what restrictions were placed on Nagato:

- Lack of mobility.
- In a 3 vs 1 situation.
- Fighting one of the most powerful Uchiha ever and 2 perfect Jinchuuriki's, both in possession of the 2 most powerful Bijuu.
- Under the full control of Kabuto.
- Most powerful summon (Gedo Mazo) restricted.
- Fighting against Naruto, and thus, plot no jutsu.

Itachi would get fodderized, no two ways about it. Kishi had to hand Nagato these handicaps just to make it a fair fight. I really don't know if you guys are just fanboying or trolling tbh.
