Amateratsu.Overrated?

It is said to burn anything until it turns to ash but i have not seen alot of that so is it overrated?

2. you would need something like izanagi to escape if it touches you which most dont

3. its lock on and almost basically instant attack

its not overrated to alot of people its still misunderstood the atmaterasu is supposed to burn an enemy with one glance of the eye it is actually quite easy to escape ......................... if your awesomer than sasuke, naruto, etc..

its the highest fire release technique, plus only a few people can dodge it unless you have izanagi you wont be able to escape it.

I think it is bcuz u have to follow it opponent with ur eye to be able to catch him in the tec...now if u have a opponent the is very fast like minato naruto or Ao then it's useless...but sasuke got a new amautsu tec which he can spam amautsu against multilpe opponents...so old amautsu useless sasuke amautsu good....

If I remember correctly...
- Sasuke survived Itachi's Amaterasu by shedding his skin, Orochimaru's jutsu
- During the 5 Kages summit, one soldier survived Sasuke's Amaterasu by removing his armor on fire
- Raikage dodged Amaterasu thank to his great speed
- Danzo had to use Izanagi to survive Amaterasu
- Sasuke's Amaterasu defeated Killer Bee in his full Bijuu mode
- Sasuke's Amaterasu almost burned Karin alive, if Sasuke didn't supress it
- Tobi had to use one of his abilities (Izanagi? S/T tech?) to survive Sasuke's Amaterasu

So basically, unless you have some great escaping abilities or speed, if you get hit by Amaterasu, you're ****ed. I want to mention that if Sasuke didn't suppress Amaterasu on the fake Killer Bee's body after the battle, there would have been nothing to retrieve, just ash.

It is overrated. Bee used a low level substitution tech and escaped it.

Didnt a guard or sum1 from the kage summit avoid it by taking off his armor

It is overrated by some people but it can burn everything it hits
