its been getting a decent amount of smack for not being up to people's expectations, weak, and stuff like that. I'd like to point out that Gedo Mazo is in fact not weak, and that if it used its full power Team Naruto would probably be screwed right now.​

1. Clear the battlefield with one damn yell

If Gedo Mazo does the yell above and then hits Team Naruto with one of these, at least Kakashi or Gai would be dead or possibly gravely injured. This move has precision, too. A yell to knock them down and this to finish them off, maybe?

If Gedo mazo can swallow the a container(the pot) full of kyuubi chakra and still be able to absorb it, couldnt he just have made it swallow up Bee and Naruto while he and the jinchuriki were completely overwhelming them? Since the jinchuriki are pretty much containers for the beast, shouldnt that work too?

If you remember wayyy back to early shippuden era manga, it takes about 2-3days for the Gedo statue to absorb the entirety of a bijuu's chakra from it's host, and that was with all the akatsuki members partaking in the jutsu.

So just swallowing them wouldn't work. I think the pot was an exception because it was a small fragment of kyuubi chakra.

Not to mention Kinkaku alone had enough chakra to go into 6 tails form, so Ginkaku probably had nearly the same amount, thats a lot of chakra to just activate on the spot.....dammit Kishi, always confusing me

I'm sure at least Bee could have been taken out assuming that Gedo Mazo went all out. He's too big of a target to avoid the soul ripping dragons. And those chakra volts could have caused some serious damage too.
