And Impure World Resurrection does count as a ninja's power. It is a difficult technique that no other nation has been able to replicate. Controlling so many summons is a feat in itself as Chiyo said. Kabuto is just on a whole different level. I wonder how he's going to change his style now that he lost that technique, though.

Not necessarily. Imagine Itachi was not an Edo. He was killed multiple times BEFORE he started Izanami. Considering that Izanami takes time to prepare in a battle, Kabuto has a good chance of killing both of them before that happens. And he has counters to all of their jutsu. Genjutsu doesn't get through his protective lid, he can just shed his skin to avoid Amaterasu, and his white flash sage technique will end Susanoo long enough for him to kill one of them.

No, not at all, I'm quite happy in fact. Now Kabuto can find his own self/power, as Itachi said, instead of relying on Oro's.

Who knows, it could even help him break free from Izanami sooner than later (or never).

Actually, yes, if Konohamaru had the ability to summon Kabuto's army of edo's I would say he is the strongest. Edo Tensei counts as a part of a ninja's power after all!

I remember when the sasuke/Itachi vs Kabuto chapters started We had all these kabuto fanboys with "Kabuto sage mode is stronger than Naruto" and "Kabuto has surpassed Oro!" and "I make horrible fanboy decisions!" (lol)

so after seeing Orochimaru use him and take what he wanted and merely leave him there, I have a question.
1) Are Kabuto fanboys even here anymore or did they jump the band wagon and find a new character to drool over?

I gauge strength by how the ninja was at his peak. At Kabuto's peak, he controlled many Edo's, had DSM, epic healing abilities...all of those together would make him virtually unbeatable in a 1 vs 1 scenario. And since through his Edo's he certainly killed THOUSANDS of ninja, I would say that he certainly did his part in the war.
