I was watching naruto vs kiba and naruto vs Negi,and I kinda miss the old naruto where even though he didn't have all the talent,he never gave up and through determination and came from the back to win.Those were moving fights.These days,it's just sage mode,bijuu mode,finished move one.The fights just aren't as stirring,you know.Pain vs naruto was good but mainly because Hinata jumped in.That was epic.But overall,the naruto fights these days are dull.Sure,naruto still rocks,new powers and everything and he's grown up,he can't always be kid,but this is what I thought.

Yeah same here. Getting all buddy like with the demon fox just felt so wrong.

There are so many things I wish didn't happen in Shippuden. But, I'm not Kishimoto, and I'll keep reading Naruto. Not because the story now is spectacular or anything (sure it's a little exciting, but sorely lacking in other areas), but because I've come to care about the characters and the story, and I want to see how it ends.

Take into consideration that he's facing Tobi with the juubi, his character has to be developed, personality wise, i'd say he still has it but when in the midst of a war making jokes isn't exactly the smart thing to do.
