I miss the old naruto uzumaki

I was watching naruto vs kiba and naruto vs Negi,and I kinda miss the old naruto where even though he didn't have all the talent,he never gave up and through determination and came from the back to win.Those were moving fights.These days,it's just sage mode,bijuu mode,finished move one.The fights just aren't as stirring,you know.Pain vs naruto was good but mainly because Hinata jumped in.That was epic.But overall,the naruto fights these days are dull.Sure,naruto still rocks,new powers and everything and he's grown up,he can't always be kid,but this is what I thought.

I agree, but I kinda learned to accept that Part 1 was more about the character development, thus more moving fights while Part 2 is more story, so we get more cliffhangers.

What has annoyed me about the newer Naruto is the way he has shelved his ambitions and his friends for the sake of one person. I understand why he is going so far and cares so much but Naruto shouldn't have forgotten his lifelong ambition or neglected his friends just for Sasuke. Naruto's ambition and desire to get acknowledged was one of the reasons I liked him, I understand that he has been acknowledged now but his dream of being Hokage is now secondary, when it was the centre of Part 1 Naruto's life.

He was the Rocky of Anime. He's fighting insane opponents now though. He isn't fighting Apollo Creed or Ivan Drago any more. He's fighting Al Qaeda and the entire middle eastern terrorist network.
