Itachi: Saved Konoha from the Uchiha, saved his brother, chief of anbu at 12 or 13, unlocked MS, stopped edo tensei.

Deidara: could have beaten anyone but a sharingan user with his c4. (Well not people like nagato, km naruto, etc)

Hidan: Member of akatsuki, hunted jinchuriki, immortal unless blown to pieces or starved.

Failures? The failures of Naruto are people like tenten, the fodder k11. All the people you mentioned are at least s class ninja.
