Ka…me…ha…me…ha! The 33rd issue of Shonen Jump magazine has revealed that a brand new Dragon Ball Z movie is in the works! It’s unclear whether the movie is live action or animated, but by looking at the Shonen Jump cover, it seems like the movie based on mangaka Akira Toriyama’s series is hinging toward the animated side. No other details have been released at this time.

The last feature animated Dragon Ball Z movie, Wrath of the Dragon, was released back on July 15, 1995 in Japan. There was a Dragon Ball movie to follow, The Path to Ultimate Power, but that too was released over 16 years ago on March 4, 1996. The live action movie by Fox, Dragon Ball Evolution, was released March 10, 2009 in Japan.

We hope to have more details here on Saiyan Island as soon as they becomes available.

people are way too butthurt about DBE. it was intentionally bad. like piranha 3D. there to solely provide a parody of action movies. at least thats how i saw it. dumb entertainment, good enough for kids who dont watch the show and want an introduction to the universe. yes the basic story is exactly the same as the show. yes the acting is cheesy and the changes made, unoriginal. but if they were completely faithful youd have random shit like dinosaurs, cities exploding, children being horrifically murdered, godzilla size apes, weird creatures like talking flying cats, japanese jokes only a few people would understand, a 16 year old acting slutty and showing her tits. they had to americanise it so people wont go 'Wtf" every single second the thing was playing.

Even if it was intentionally made to be crap, it's still crap. Even if you've never seen DBZ before, the movie itself is crap. It's not like the movie would be good for people who haven't seen DBZ before.
