He may be, but do not forget that Itachi planned out that entire fight. Even hitting orochimaru with Totsuka and not Sauske. (orochimaru would have hit yata mirror and bounced off while going for itachi)

Very true, but still I think Sasori is being underestimated. Susano'o will strain Itachi's eyes so he can't have it out for too long, Sasori cannot be Tsukuyomi'd. Sasori just has to nick Itachi with literally any attack and Itachi is dead. If Sasori uses 100 Puppets technique his chances of victory will sky rocket. I'm definitely not saying it will be easy though. If Itachi's Susano'o lasts Itachi can win. Itachi vs Sasori could go either way IMO.

There are 298 puppets in Sasori's possession, it will be very hard to stab Sasori in a swarm of hundreds of very deadly puppets.

1. Please re read the fight vs Kabuto and see Itachi move in Susano. and besides that fact, long range or not, he cannot be hit with sharingan predicting the movements.

2. Yata mirror is said to be unbreakable, and it had 0 problem with pure lighting. Jinton is simply blocked by it.

Well due to what we have seen, i am disregarding all puppets we havn't seen. I assume he doesn'tt have room to carry scrolls, or not enough chakara, or something. I believe he would have used them if he could have.
And yes i know if he gets nicked once hes gone, but you can say the same about sakura/chiyo. One hit KO. But chiyo dodge EVERYTHING because she knew how he worked. That's exactly what Sharingan does
