First off I think WWII and the Holocaust is the worst tragedy ever, but yeah Kishi dying would be bad.

His work would be continued, he has a whole team to support his manga, surely he has notes to pass on.

I think the manga is already complete. Most people think that kishi just makes a new chapter weekly, but in actuality, most artist finish a cartoon or anime waaaaaaaay before it is even close to being finished. You may think it is still being made, but that would mean that he would have to pull something out of his asss every week. And that can't always be the case, they need to have plot, keep the plot from having loop holes, and have a solid story line. it is hard to do that when making new material weekly.
