How? Are you telling me that Minato had conveniently marked the wall where he landed? FTG is teleportation. He couldn't have teleported to the wall and caught Naruto at the same time.

And to choft: His base speed is fast, but Gaaras sand has gotten a lot faster too. How fast is Minato going to be on a desert? Getting swarmed by sand? Getting sinked into the sand like he did to Kimmimaro?

Like I said, Minato is fast enough that Tobi gave him praise for it. If this is a fair battle, Gaara and Minato would only be standing 10 metres from each other. Gaara cannot release a sandstorm faster than Minato running to Gaara and sealing him.

I already know that and that's why I said that he is too fast for gaara. With minato's intelligence and speed he would be able to find a quick way to kill gaara, gaara is cool and all but he cannot defeat minato. IMO.

Minato is as fast as Rock Lee with no weight:

Minato's sand will most likely sink into Gaara's sand like Deidara's bombs did. And when Gaara retracts the sand to use them as defence, he'll be eating a rasengan .

You mean like Gama's water bullets?

You're gonna need something a lot stronger than water bullets IMO. If anything I see Minato using Gamabunta to help close the gap. Either way Gaara still has the advantage.

Yes he does. Its a simple kunai dude. Unless he knows what they're for he's going to block it the same way he's been blocking simple attacks in the manga.

It's a big deal as it's Tobi, the main antagonist. The man who is about to control the Juubi. The man who knows a ton of stuff about the Naruto world.

I like Gaara better as a char but honestly it's a bad match up for gaara, Minato's too quick for his sand and Gaara wont be able to see shit as seen with rock lee and sasuke. Remember the kunai isnt the only way to get to him. His base speed is wayy fast enough to dodge his sand and if he touches gaara that means he's marked basically saying he's screwed.

Gaara hasn't properly fought A tbh. A was not at full speed there, considering that he lost one arm and was already fighting Sasuke. I wonder what would happen if Gaara actually fought A at full strength 1v1.

Gaara's sand is pretty fast, but it's not the fastest thing ever. I reckon Minato and A can get past it considering that Tobi was impressed with Minato's base speed.

Gaara's auto defense hasn't been beaten since the Chunin Exams. But then who has Gaara properly fought that is fast?
