Anyone feel Sasuke on his way to turning good again?

Based on what Kishi is showing to us, he seems like he is back on the middlegrounds.

As in, based on what "the one who knows everything" says will determine the route sasuke takes.



I made a prediction ages ago that Sasuke would "turn good" again and the promised fight of Naruto vs Sasuke would be @ the Chuunin Exams <-- was a joke thread, but now it seems possible!!

It could just be a big lie and having his brother say that he will love him no matter what could make him want to destroy konaha even more. I want to believe he will turn good, but I don't think so because the story line of this anime is how NARUTO wants to save Sasuke not his brother Itachi saving him.

I would have to agree wit this. Seeing all the Itachi flashbacks gave me some glimpse of hope that he would. However, seeing as Itachi also said that Naruto is the only one who could change him. It also makes me sad. I hope eventually he will change due to something big happening.

I hear you though, he became overly obsessed with killing everything and making people experience the same pain.

i'd agree he's on a middle ground right now, figuring things out all over again. The one that knows everything will probably set him back out against Madara, still confused. By that time, maybe Naruto's there, and we have ourselves a Mexican standoff, until Naruto's able to change Sasuke's perspective, and they both kick Madara back into the crypt.

Truthfully, none of us can say whether he's actually turning back to the good side or not right now. We can't determine that positively until we see just what this special scroll is about and who exactly is the one who knows everything.

Taking in recent events, however, such as meeting up with Itachi and such, seems to have calmed him down a bit, at least. Remember that creepy, murderous Sasuke from about twenty chapters back? You don't see him around anymore, do you? That doesn't necessarily mean he's good, but it does mean he's not so focused on his anger and hatred right now.

I'd also like to point out that in the last chapter when it was revealed that Edo Madara hadn't been released like the rest of the Edo Tenseis, Sasuke almost looks concerned. I might be reading his facial expression wrong, though.

Some people here have good points: the series is about Naruto saving Sasuke. This encounter with Itachi was meant, I think, to just divert his attention elsewhere, away from attacking the Hidden Leaf. For the time being. Later on he'll meet up with Naruto again and they'll have whatever sort of encounter Kishi has planned for them, kukapow.

Honestly I think it be utter crap if he turned good again or somehow was able to come to the village. I would be fine with him having a revelation right before he dies, but other than that if he keeps flip-flopping his character is really annoying.

Sasuke killed Danzo (even though sorta a bad guy, he was still a leaf ninja), Nearly killed Sakura and Kakashi, Basically killed Karien (saved by Sakura though), He caused the Raikage to lose his arm, and he killed several Samurai, and crushed several more when he collapsed the building.

He's a gosh darn international criminal for attacking the Kages, he's a missing-nin.

My prediction is, he goes and talks to Madara and finds out the purpose of clan or shinobi or whatever his question is. He gets on board with moon's eye plan, and then faces Naruto, Naruto and Sasuke fight, both of them nearly die, and somebody else comes and makes the killing blow on Sasuke because Naruto's unable to do it, like Sakura or Kakashi, because even though he wanted to die with Sasuke, they don't want him to fail on him dream of being Hokage, and they give a heartfelt speech about how Naruto did save Sasuke. Sasuke dies slowly, apologize and thanks everyone, now he gets to go see his family, and then team 7 laughs and says goodbye.
