This is proof in itself that the hokages were not "imperfect" and were fighting at their full power. It even goes on to say that "Able to use all their original techniques." Meaning that hashirama and tobirama were fighting at full strength.

It disabled their creativity so they are not fighting with their minds. They were like puppets that only did what Orochimaru told them. They barely acted on their own. Which is better: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Nin, Tai, Genjutsu, Tai back to back, or mixing up techniques and using battle strategies you used to know? Kabuto's Edos are still obedient pawns, but they have much more freedom than Orochimaru's Edos.

When kakashi first encountered them in the war, they were having an emotional conversation and were being held back by kunai's and a sword. When he turned off the emotions, they went on a slaughter. I personally did not notice a difference in power vs them in part 1.
