I think Tobirama killed Hashi someway, I mean think about it he was always a 3rd wheel when they talked about Madra and Hashi and even when they talked about Hashi.
Tsunade doesn't ever refer to him as a family member even though he's her great grand uncle.

He's the least talked about Kage.
I mean Hashi was a monster I think only way he could of died was at the hands of Tobirama because he would let his guard down around his brother.
