Stop underestimating Hiruzen!

I believe that Hiruzen was truly the strongest shinobi (except for So6p) BUT i understand why people have a hard time dealing with this - overpowered-Madara is currently beating up all of the kages and it is said by "dan" that only hashi stands a chance against him...

BOTH hashi and hiruzens power is build on hype. Hashis hype is explained like this "He defeated madara so therefore he is F***ing strong".... Hiruzens hype is build by reputiation which says that he is a god of shinobi.

Hiruzen was one of the most powerful shinobi in history. In fact, he was so powerful that he was admired as the God of Shinobi (忍の神, Shinobi no Kami) in his prime and was said to be the strongest Hokage that Konoha ever had. Even in his old age, he also said to be the strongest of all the five Kage at the time of his death.
He was even said to be stronger than the 4th raikage at the age of 68-69???


THEY WERE BOTH great shinobis - but their reputation are both build on hype - and i think of hiruzens hype as the most powerfull..

He is not underrated at all, his reputation has no value in any versus threads, by feats Hiruzen cannot face characters like Hashirama, Madara, Itachi or Nagato. I believe he was very powerful in his prime but still I think that Hashirama, Madara, Nagato & co. are stronger. Quality goes over quantity, Hiruzen may have a massive arsenal of techniques but is not known for having some outstanding technique like a Doujutsu or other Kekkei Kenkai. And I don't see someone without a Kekkei Kenkai or something else winning against the Mokuton on Hashiramas level, the Rinnegan or the (E)MS.

All the Hokage were strong in their respect period during reign. That is what many are not getting. Thats is why it is said the the previous Generation would pass the old. The new Generation knows and have the ability to counter the Old Generation such as Hurizen being able to defeat Tobimaru and Hashriama, maybe Minato able to defeat Huirzen, and so on and so on.

He is strong, but we haven't seen his Prime. But it's up to our opinions now since Kishi never stated who was stronger. Or basically contradicted hype. And IMO it won't matter would was stronger because if Naruto becomes Hokage, then it shouldn't matter anymore, right?

I have no opinion about Hiruzen-Hashirama except for two things. 1. Wait until Kishi stats who is stronger. 2. Just let it go.

p.s. I just thought of something. It is said that Hashirama died in one of the many wars that ensued during his era. If he died in war it means he was killed. Who the the hell managed to pull that off? Who killed Hashirama? Who was that strong?

I think Hashi-Hiru-Madara strongest shinobi threads all should be banned b/c their so controversial and nobody ever gets anywhere with them. Some go by hype which is fine but still a subject to some questioning and others go by what they see from each character then formulate a hypothesis which leads to a conclusion of their own of who's the "strongest" of all.

He was known, as you say, for having a massive arsenl of techniques... he was ALSO known for his massive chakra reserves in his youth (and as an old man)... He was like an extreme upgrade of kakashi - just much much more powerfull... coulden't i reverse your statement and tell you that it could be easier to counter hashi, when knowing all these techniques?? He woulden't experince the lack of chakra in fights like kakashi does - but stay powerfull for a long period of time.

Still quality goes over quantity. His 1000 Jutsus won't help him against someone who is using an outstanding power like a high level Doujutsu, Kakashi with his 1000 Jutsus was mental destroyed by a mere eye contact with Itachi. And since we lack knowledge about Hiruzens prime, the strength and extent of his techniques are a mere assumption. And where was it say that he was known for massive Chakra reserves? I think this was just fetched from the air by you.

Fools he was called god of shinobi so that means he is stronger then all shinobi doesn't it? so how come you disclaim this title of him and take the others.
