If they were completely different, I would have been unable to write my own FF. There are much more similarities than your think. The thing resides in how you present it.

Yes but it wasn't hosted on NB and on top of that, it wasn't his.
I'm not against his good sharing intention, I'm just saying that he should refrain from posting some creation that wasn't his.

Indeed it was not originally posted here and could even draw members to another forum, but then we don't know whether the creator actually allows sharing or not, so we can only say 'should/should not' as far as that goes.
Btw, most people are for sharing as long as there is a disclaimer and some kind of credit(in some cases), which he put in this case, so as long as the creator isn't against it, I see no real problem with it and to be honest, I'd love for my own stories to be spread, just as you want your own ffs to be spread, no?
