Is Tobi's warping technique really that great?

first of all, Tobi's already been showing to have a genjutsu powerful enough to subdue a perfect jinchuurik for YEARS. and one good enough for akatsuki members.

secondly, one hasn't been shown to be able to escape his pocket dimension, not even sasuke after he'd been healed, and sasuke is proficient enough to stop tsukuyomi.

it's not a genjutsu, it's a seperate dimension. tobi was keeping danzo's guards subdued with a genjtsu also so they couldnt fight when he brings them out, but the pocket dimension itself is not a genjutsu, and it can't be escaped, unless by another space/time jutsu (which is still speculation really, but imo ftg would work)

Tobispawn is making threads how Tobi can simply warp Madara away and it's game over. There are several things that are still bugging me about this technique.

We should get a closer look at Konan vs Tobi battle. Tobi said Konan was planning to suicide by letting Tobi warp her in. Tobi said after warping some of the explosions he felt a little impact. This means that even in his own dimension the opponents he sucks in can be troublesome. This also explains why he didn't warp any jinchuuriki away, because it's simply too dangerous for Tobi. There is also a nother reason why Tobi didn't warp any jinchuuriki or high level Sharingan user. Tobi warps his opponent away and then paralyzes them with his sharingan, in other words he casts a genjutsu and tames them. It's a simillar genjutsu Madara used on A who was saved seconds later by Tsuchikage. This is how he held Fuu and Torune hostage. Now you see this won't work against any perfect jinchiruuki nor high level Uchiha user like Madara, Itachi and Sasuke.
He won't be able to tame them and would take a huge risk warping them away. This makes perfect sense why he hasn't warped any of the people that I've mentioned above.

Sasuke was barely alive.... and he was working with Tobi.

Konan explosions affected him a little because they were exploding while he was warping them. They caused him harm because they exploded in, let's call it, plane A. After they reached the other side of the warping, plane B, they could no longer affect Tobi or maybe they did because he moved with them.

That being said it holds no difference on the implications this has against any foe, unless you are talking about an exploding one like Deidara.

I'll explain how it would happen: Tobi appears 2 inches from Edo Madara, who is supper cocky and won't move and in a split of a second warps him to plane B. Granted Madara could still burst the hell out of Tobi's face when they get there, with or without Genjutso, BUT!!... This was never the point. Tobi already has won. He doesn't need to tame Madara. Was the Kyuubi tamed inside Naruto? Or was it closed and sealed there?

Tobi warps Madara then comes back to the Naruto verse diminution leaving Edo Madara forever in the other one. The best part is that now Tobi can throw enemies into that other diminution and they will have to fight Madara perfect isn't it?

Use your brains people, you seem to always be fighting for the wrong questions.

Good theory ,except sasuke didnt appear to be under genjutsu when he demanded Tobi release him after the kage fight .

i really believe that tobi is the second hokage because only he knew that jutsu and according too minato he masters that jutsu so thats number one number two his jutsu is very limited his fight with minato prove that.. ]. According to Minato Namikaze, Tobirama was also highly skilled in Space–Time Ninjutsu.[8]
