Why are the "other" characters in the war arc weak?

When I used to watch Naruto in part one those "other" characters in part one seemed really strong. Now for some reason it seems like their weaker than they used to be. I'm talking about the fodder 11 here and villians brought by edo tensie from part one like kimimaro. What about hanzo for gods sake! He fraught nagato one on one and almost beat him and now he is nothing but a fodder. That's what I'm a bit dissapointed here about.

I now see why people complain about why other characters are being trolled.

Kishi it's time to hand out some power ups to the "others".

I still think neji in part 1 is stronger than part 2. In part 2 he seems like a fluke. His personality is damaged. He used to be so smart and sharp. Sharper than even sasuke. Now when I see neji fight I'm like WTF?

What do you guys think? You guys think its time for the "others" to also get some power ups?

It's called Kishi dickriding the Uchiha and disregarding everything(one) else.

I guess kishi jut try to emphasize how strong the main characters have gotten lol
I felt the same too sometimes, when the past hype did not live up the present power.
but anyhow I still enjoy the manga, I just look at it from a different perspective like they're all good, but time just have changed :x

I agree it is just be comparison Naruto and Sasuke are so far ahead of the others from their group and when they get as strong as they are you have to come out with even stronger villains to challenge them.

However some of the others are really getting some cool power ups. Take Choji he got the butterfly thing that was pretty bad ass that we had not seen yet. Kishi made him a top level guy for his clan.

We just don't really see as much of the others like we use to since Kishi has to develop new characters to offer new challenges.

1. There are fodders
2. Uchihas are the best ( also uzumaki and senju)
3. Uchiha , uzumaki and senju are OP ( especially Uchihas)
4. Kishi likes Uchihas

You need to realise that the senju, uzumaki and uchiha are descendants of a god. So you should exclude them when talking about normal shinobi.

Well I would like Kishi to focus a bit more on minor characters but you have to realize that characters like Kiba, Sakura etc. are not going to be on the same level as legends such as Hashirama, Madara, Nagato and Itachi etc. The reason behind this is because they are rare gifted prodijees that can only be surpassed by Naruto and Sasuke (the two main characters). I would like to see new jutsus from them though.
