Kabuto himself did research and came to a viable conclusion on Madara's prime, shown by Madara being impressed by Kabuto being able to decipher the secrets of his body. And again, Madara did nothing to deny Kabuto's claims. The only thing he said was "you didn't create this power." And I dunno...what we do know about the Sage is he defeated the Juubi and created a moon on his deathbed.

What are you gaining out of attempting to disregard Kabuto's statements?

Oh... neither Tobi nor Kabuto were speaking. The one who said that was Kishimoto himself. Somethings are actually said from the character's point-of-view, but all comments about the Sage are actually Kishimoto's
